That cable should be just fine... you'll have to download the Quartus II software from altera.com and get the appropriate headers for your board though. I use these, http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...Prv3gC7QaT4%3d

just make sure you get 10pin ones.

i has bought same 13usd blaster for test, it works same as my other blaster for 40usd, and i use JTAG mode for firmware loading (not active serial), so i dont know why your works onlly as active serial, may be need to change some settings. the only difference in flashing speed, 13 usd blaster need few more seconds (3-4 sec more).

Yeah you have to use JTAG mode, and make sure beforehand that you have the driver installed. The only issue I had was that the JTAG header I had was too short, so I had to take the pins out of it and just put them in the JTAG cable itself, and it worked.

I'll change some other setting see how it works. Thank for that 13 usd blaster, dude. Any other good things that cheap you wanna introduce maybe? I recent checked on this one, what do you think?http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-ISP-Programm...item3a646fdcb9. It is totally unbeatable price unless you find cheaper than that.
