    NeoGeo CD Drive Replacement

    Hi all,

This post may have some noob toughts so take it easy it's just an idea.

The neo geo cd and neo geo aes does not have much difference as far as my limited knowledge knows. Of course I'm talking about game play or else they would be two completely different consoles.

Since all the time I see people asking for NeoGeo AES Everdrive why not match the neogeo cd with the aes ? The down side at least for me for the CD unit is the loading times. So, if you replace the CD Drive for a 52X one you could kill the loading times and put them all in the same high quality game play level.

CD-R is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to play a game.

So, is it possible ? What do you guys think ?

The problem is it's a very limited market. Emulator is near perfect and most people have long left neo scene.

Neo scene games are expensive but most are poor quality games.

So who will pay 200-500 for interface to play magician lord when the cart and cd are $5 each?

    That's a good point.

I was hopping that the drive swap for an ide one would require just some bios hack, cutting and soldering some wires.

If this would be simple, it would be a great idea =))
