Am I the only one that's a tad bit uneasy due to all of this? Any ideas as to where the missing nukes from the USSR are? I mean, I hope this doesn't end badly.

Am I the only one who thinks the news is largely irrelevant? Sure UBL is dead, but what changes? does GWOT come to an end, does the US stop fighting 2.5 wars? does the patriot act magically disappear? do americans regain their civil liberties? Is terrorism gone?
No, because there's no practical reason for any of those things to really happen. Those who have gained power are no accustomed to it, and dont wanna give it back. Also, since he's been largely irrelevant in justifying the current wars and operations for 8 or so years, his death has no effect on that either. Terrorism remains, there are still huge numbers of groups worldwide, and UBL has been made an even greater martyr because he was killed at the hands of americans.
Sure it's feel good news, but it's largely irrelevant.

Never have seen it spelled that way before, and it doesn't seem to be a typo, they're consistently reporting this story with that name, unlike every other media source.

well, people who are like LOL FOX NEWS are trying to say fox is stupid and typod, but actually Usama is just as accurate as Osama, since the spelling is based off the pronunciation of his Arabic name and somewhat ambiguous
Translations can vary depending on how you want to spell things. Look at how Japanese names can vary when they are translated into English, especially in the case of Toyota (the car manufacturer).
