So if a console gets banned from Xbox LIVE, I can just give it a new CPU key and it will be allowed back on XBL?

You would need a new KV not CPU key

  8. #28
    Sorry, KV?

How would you get a new KV, and can I recover banned consoles to make them LIVE again?

Keyvault. You would need to get an unbanned console, get the CPU key and dump the Keyvault. Then you use this on your banned console to unban it.

You always need a donor from another xbox, you cannot magically make them or unban with nothing

Emulated fuses are detectable as they require tinkering with the HV.

The best way to unban is NOT GET banned at all. And to not get banned at all means not tinker with the console you keep for online.

Considering that each one of us has at least three different XBOX360 consoles at home it isn't too hard to keep one clean for online.

Yea, but I want to back up my games as I have gone through 3 Gears of War's, 1 Gears of War 2 and 1 Call of Duty 4 disk.

They always crack, from the spindle hole out.

And I keep mine in perfect condition. Not a single mark on them.

Oh, and installing to the HDD is crap. It still boots the disk up for a while until it powers down.

Of course, it has to verify that the disc in the drive matches what is installed to the HDD. Otherwise you could go on a renting spree and never own any games. Small price to pay for a feature Microsoft could have easily left out.

Then again we don't have to live by their rules if we chose. Personally I don't bother with online play anymore as I don't terribly enjoy paying $60 a year to get called a "nigger faggot" by 14 year olds in Nova Scotia.

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.

HDD install spins up the disc to confirm its there, then it stops.

And I have no idea how you have broken that many discs... I have had an xbox 360 since launch and never had that happen.

Neither do I. I think it is from the case design. They really 'clip' the spindle when you place it in. So I started to put them under the manual.

The HDD does need to verify if the disc is there, however some games do not spin down for at least 5 minutes.

Get a decent disc wallet to Keep them in, then you can just store the boxes and pull out the game when you need it, seriously tho mate the case design is used by alot of people and seem to work fine most of the time, maybe try being a bit more gentle when removing the discs etc

i have never broken a single 360 disc by taking it out of the box and neither has anyone i know, not saying your clumsy mate but either your being to rough with them or you have the worst luck in the world :-)

There are 3 spindle holder types on their case design.

2 of them clip the disc when you remove it, and the other is really soft and actually releases the disc perfectly.
