Old thread with data recover tools, where is it?

Hey guys, I remember we had this thread years ago with some amazing data recover tools.

The thing is that once again I'm faced with a dying disk with important stuff that I need to get out, but I cant find those tools which I used back then, nor the thread where I got them.

Does anyone remember it? I recall one user from Germany brought most of the apps there, and IIRC that guy who works at dell was there too.

The approach you should use depends on what kind of "dying" you're experiencing, the wrong tool can cause more harm than good and may even fuck the drive irreparably or at least put more data beyond recovery. What's happening with it?

I personally use QueTek File Scavenger but it works on the same principles as any other similar program.
