Well I made a mistake of posting my Super EverDrive logo on a forum once and it was stolen and used for people's own labels so I am not making that mistake again. :)

    Sorry to hear that.
I know the feeling too. GameSpot stole about a thousand of my game scans, removed the watermarks and denied it. They obviously didn't think about any of the imperfections matching up 100% between mine and theirs.
So now I include 3 watermarks on every scan I make. 2 hidden and 1 visible. You can't be too safe when it comes to protecting your work!

I do like your logo by the way. :)

I throw 10 logos on every picture I post cuz sharing is for losers

Dude that's incredible, how do you program the cartridge? If it's already been said than woops I just haven't read through this whole thread yet.

I think he was parodying spoonman, who replied to your post saying he uses three watermarks.

So, now the Everdrive 64 development project seems to be ready pretty soon, what are your plans after this one?

I believe KRIKzz said he was gonna backport SDHC support to some of the other everdrive models?

right, it is will be first what i will do after n64 finish.
Chilly Willy do you know something about how to detect reset mometnt on n64? reset wire on cart port set to low only after power on. so i gues that need catch the moment when system read bootcode or something like this, but it is looks not very good

Does that implies a re-design of the "old" everdrives?

I plan to get them, but if they're going to be re-done, I'll wait :)

I'll get the N64 one, that's for sure

it will be just OS update

  15. #155
That's great... As far as I've learned about Everdrives, OS updates can be done without special additional hardware.
I suposse it's better to buy directly from you, to be sure I've got the latest board revisions, right?

KRIKzz, when you are closer to finishing I would recommend testing the following games:-

Lylat Wars (E) - apparently the 7102 and 6101 CIC bootcodes are not really equivalents like other CIC's, this means it does not work with many CIC boot emulators.

Dezaemon 3D (J) - only game to use 768kbit SRAM.

So I assume its possible, but are people willing to pay the extra $$$ for it.
I dont know about anybody else, but I would be quite tempted by a higher priced 'Premium Version' SNES/MD Everdrive that had instant loading using SDRAM. Perhaps they could both use 128Mbit SDRAM which would allow the SNES version to support Neviksti's 96Mbit Star Ocean hack, and the few 512kbit/1Mbit SRAM games.

Also with an upgraded CPLD (Altera MAX II > Cyclone II) the Mega Drive version might be able to support games with serial EEPROM saves natively without hacks, as well as any other features that KRIKzz wanted to add but couldnt due to lack of space in the CPLD (Mainly due to Super Street Fighter 2 support)

Im not saying that its necessary, the current Everdrive's are great  but I just think it might be something to consider for some time in the future? Perhaps when KRIKzz has finished any other flash carts he wants to make he might go back to the SNES and MD Everdrive's?

Knowing Igor once he has done all the flash carts he can think of I am sure he will consider going back and revising them like you said. Maybe keep the current as a more econo series and then have a more expensive series of each one as well with the features you mentioned.

Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking - a 'budget' and a 'premium' version of each.

personally while near instant loading would be nice, I'd rather see some carts for different systems than a revised cart for an already supported one
