Hey KRIKzz, is there any way I can know when my Everdrive will arrive? It shipped back on February 10 and still isn't here... I'm in North America, by the way.

Hi, I reformatted my ED64 SD card and re-placed all my folders/ROMs on it and now the ED64 will not recognize the ED64 OS.v64. When I power the ED64 on it says "cannot find the OS.v64 file blah blah".

I quick-formatted it using FAT32, default allocation size. How do I need to format it so that the ED64 can use it again? Thank you :).

there's not need some special formatting method. may be you make mistake in ED64 folder name, or OS file is damaged, or dirty contacts on sd card

I think it does have something to do with the formatting because I tried using a different SD card before this one (was using my 8gb ED64 SD card for a video recording because I needed the extra space) and the smaller 2gb SD card gave me the same error. I then switched back to my 8gb card and it worked fine. But now that I've formatted the 8gb card I'm getting the same error.

Just cleaned the SD card contacts, same issue. I also just downloaded the newest OS from your site. My folder structure is the same as always and worked beforehand.

I have Windows 7 64-bit. Any clues to what I should specify to make it work? Maybe regular FAT or a specific allocation size? Maybe non-quick format?

I guess I'll try a few mothods and report back when I find one that works.

regular FAT not available for 8GB cards, only fat32. but full format is a good idea

i worst case i can give the tool and empty image of my sd card for copy byte to byte

Hey, I was wondering something. I would like to play a game on a computer emulator and take the save and use it on my everdrive. Would this be possible? I had tried before, but it hadn't worked. I'm not sure if i was using the same savetype or something

Abahbob emulators use varios byte orders, if you convert it in correct byte order, it will work on ed64

Funnily enough I also had that problem., so I tried the original rom instead, and to my surprise it worked. Only tested it until just after gameplay started, but it all seemed fine. I was expecting it to not start or have crippled gameplay.

RE: JFG - I take that back. Compared original with cracked version, and I can now see the difference.

Since I haven't used my ED64 much, I don't know about all of its capabilities. My question is on the forced save type. Some games like Raymond use controller packs. Is it possible to force these games to save to the SD card instead of the controller pack using the force save state function? I need to know for my project portable 64. I want to use a trumble pack I have for wii like controlling by tilting the controller and it will be hard wired into the controller making the use of a controller pack very hard. Just wondering. If not, then I can try to make it work like those rumble packs that have a switch for a memory pack to save to when needed. Would be nice to have this tilt/rumble pack thing work for some driving games so I don't need the steering wheel when on the go.

No there is no way to save external saves directly to the SD card, this has been asked many times. KRIKzz says he plans on adding a feature to back-up saves from the external memory card to the SD card, but in this case you will still need a external memory card.

I have been having no end of trouble with my Everdrive 64

If I put it in the N64 with no SD card it comes up with a blue screen saying you need OS64.

If I put it in the N64 with an SD card and OS64 in the wrong directory I get the blue screen again.

If I put it in the N64 with OS64 in the root/ED64 directory I get a black screen.

I have tried 3 SD cards formatted with the Panasonic SD card formatter. One was 4 GB and was in FAT32 format. Another was 1GB and I tried both FAT16 and FAT32. The last one was 512MB and was formatted to FAT16. The 1GB SD card works perfectly on my Super Everdrive and Everdrive MD.

I am using a 6102 CIC from the game "Mission Impossible"

I have tried this on two NTSC N64 consoles. One was a Pikachu model with a NUS 09-1 motherboard. The other was a non RGB modded NUS 03 motherboard. Both use first party expansion packs.

The unit is the 1.01 revision and was bought from Retrogate. It has firmware 1.12 and I have tried OS64 1.12 and 1.13.

I screwed up pretty badly when I soldered in the CIC chip, but it does boot with no SD card or OS64 in the wrong directory so I don't think that's the problem.

Is it time to try a fourth SD card or should it be sent to Krikzz?

I am having this same problem, sd cards work fine, but I don't know whats wrong? Is there a fix for this or what?

try to use another sd card. send your cart to me in case if you cant fix the problem, i will check your cart and will replace or repair your cart in case if problem in cart
