a few pages down, a nice person made a list of region free xbox games (ie: one that will work without any modifications) and this got me to thinking, (besides I thought SFAC was the only one)
one game coming out in the future would deeply benefit from being Region Free (I believe its also called W-Coded) now I know you all are gonna moan, but its the port of Megaman Anniversary Collection for Xbox, (to be released in the USA in March)
You see, I am a huge MM fan, whose's MM thrist was quenched by the GC and PS2 releases last summer, however, the one thing that went noticed by me, was the foreign fans of Megaman, who asked for an European/Asian release, but were denied their request for various reasons.
This way, by making it region free, any MM fan can play the game without any moding trouble or converter, by simply sticking it in a Xbox. This isnt a lot of work for Capcom or developer Atomic Planet (formerly Iguana of NBA Jam and Turok fame) to do for it is simply pressing on a different type of Xbox disc. And remember, according to Microsoft, any company has the choice to do so. And most importantly, since Capcom USA has the sole rights to the collection, they would be making a crap load of money (as I'm sure Capcom Europe/Asia made with us Yanks importing SFAC)
I have already appealed to many MM fan groups, only to have them in an argument about if Xbox sucks or not (which means to me jack) so please if you wish to help me, regardless of being one of these PAL/Eastern NTSC users, or a US fan, wanting to help your MM brethen, waiting to play this excellent collection, please write a quick note to both Capcom USA and Atomic Planet, urging them to make MMAC a region free W-Code game.
Thanks for your time
