    Sorry,long time haven't posted here.
But i hope 850+ posts and 5y+ membership qualifies..?
Well Dion scammed me actually, like 12 years (14?) ago, for a Shock Troopers convert. I'm paid around $600 for it, and i am still waiting.
He really scammed a LOT of people back in the time.
    So, what now?

Hello Andre and Sylvio. How are you guys doing?
You may not remember all the facts, but we kept all NGF sales on our computer. You well received your Shock Troopers cartridge and you even posted photos of the inside to show it was a conversion.

You were upset and claimed that we sold you an unofficial Shock Troopers, and you didn't believe that NGF had full rights for distribution and repackaging of cartridges. That was your complaint.

Just to remind you, after your Shock Troopers, you also purchased a Japanese Breakers and then you also purchased 2 copies of the English KoF2000.

But it is very nice to hear from the Adol brothers again. I hope all is well in Boulogne-Billancourt, FRANCE

    It's Andre.
Well, many years have passed, i'm not in Boulogne-Billancourt anymore, but i'm still waiting an "official" Shock Troopers from you, since the one you sent me wasn't. Hell, it didn't even have manual.
And you hadn't ANY rights from SNK/Saurus back at the time, since you acquired them WAY later (YEARS later).
    So, when is it coming?

Assuming we're taking about the first Shock Troopers, it was never released by SNK Japan on AES cart, so it would have to be an MVS-AES conversion anyway.

Absolutely fantastic game though, certainly one of my favourites.

    I saw that edit Dion.
I would definitely call LOSJ a sub par (if not shifty) title but there is nothing mediocore about games like matrimelee and ROTD.

Shock Troopers is a top tier title on the neo, however it is a bit too repetitive for me as an overall favorite. I felt that the second installmet definitely paled in comparison to the first but was not as much of q let down as people made it out to be.

What is really perplexing is how ST1 did not get a BMW release but ST2 did (and jap only at that).

I'm totally surprised that Shock Troopers didn't get an aes release, but snk decided to release Shock2 for aes?? It all boils down to snk's failure of the day. Totally strange and makes no sense.
    .
I did not get much hands on play Tom with matrimelee but from what I have played and seen I can say that it is one of the stronger "one off" neo titles and sports one of the best sountracks on the neo ( that fully shows off what the system sound chip can do), great graphics, a great aesthetic with a good sense of humor and a solid fighting engine.

ROTD sports a solid roster with some interesting characters, a solid fighting system with great combo's, and some of the better graphics on a neo title including some of the best backrounds in a neo fighter.

At least those 2 titles are original.
It's KOF 2001, 2002 & 2003 that were he true mixed bags (to a fault).
Luckily SNK(P) redeemned themselves with KOF XI/11, KOF XII/12 and KOF XIII which stand as some o the best in the series by far (th

4 posts above, you said you paid me for a Shock Troopers and that I scammed you and never sent you anything (I quoted your post so you can't claim that you didn't say that). Now you're saying you received the Shock Troopers, but you're angry because you think/thought it wasn't official.

    Why?
Why did you say that untrue story for so many years?
I'm not angry with you, but I'm very disappointed.

    NGF always had the rights
We always had the rights for distribution and repackaging, but people never believed us.
If playmore wasn't forced to make the press release, people still wouldn't believe us.
The Shock Troopers you received is 100% official, but without a manual.
I can't explain it any clearer than that.

André, j'aime parler avec vous de nouveau. C'est agréable de vous entendre. Cordialement et meilleurs voeux. Say hello to Sylvio. Merci, Dion.
    .
Strangely, you don't quote me when i say there was no manual.
Even if the garbage thing i received would be official, it wasn't even complete. But it wasn't official.

Anyway, your settlement shows CLEARLY that, back at the time of the sale (1997-98), you hadn't any official rights. Check the date of your settlement or the presse release. I bought that stuff from you YEARS before your documents.
In 1997 or 1998, you had NO OFFICIAL RIGHTS, PERIOD.
You can quote me all you want, i'm still waiting, with a 14 years delay (more or less), an OFFICIAL Shock Troopers AES complete.
But i'll act nice: Since you have the official rights by now, it'd be easy for you to deliver me the stuff i paid for 14 years ago. So i'm waiting for it, complete, with manual, of course.
I won't even ask any amount for the delay,no penalty of any kind, that's how nice i am.
    Thanks

I understand your concern, but I hope you can appreciate that the game you received is official even with no manual.
    .
AFAIK, rights are not retroactive. You'd have to prove it otherwise.
Face it, you had no official rights back in 97/98.
I, then, wait for my official game, COMPLETE (since you finally admit there was no manual), 14 years later.
Feel free to send it to Boulogne-Billancourt address if you still have it, no problem.
    Thanks

Andre, please calm down and be more mature.

Once again you are doubting that we had the rights for repackaging. We offered NGF products and inserts back in 1997 and we told everyone that we were the distributor and had all the rights, and you people didn't believe it.

Playmore posted the press release and now your asking me to prove it again? Why is it only the same 5 neogeo people keep asking for proof from a distributor? Did you ask Guilemot to show you proof that they were the neogeo distributor in France?
NeoGeoFreak/NGF-USA was the exclusive distributor for aes in the USA.

I never said the rights were retroactive. NGF had all distribution and repackaging rights given to us in 1997 when we first started offering our NGF inserts. We still have the rights for all games from 1990 up till 2001 (last games we have repackaging rights for are KoF2001 and Sengoku 3).

You already admitted you received your Shock Troopers, so why did you not tell the truth all these years and you told people I never sent your game? Can you explain your reasons for such an allegation? What did NGF ever do to you other than treat you with respect and sell you many games before and after the Shock Troopers deal?

To prove it AGAIN, i'd need you prove it first, and you never did.
Prove you had the rights in 1997, once and for all.
Playmore never posted you had rights retroactively, so NO, Playmore never posted you had rights back in 1997. Once again, CHECK THE DATE.

I didn't ask guillemot, because it a known fact they had rights back in 1990, as much as it is known you only acquired those in around 2000.
Admit it, you hadn't them back in 1997, and since they're not retroactive, when you claimed to sell me an OFFICIAL Shock Troopers cart,it simple was NOT. Then you lied.
Plus, you admitted you never sent me any manual, so, whatever official you think this garbage stuff you sent me is, it is still incomplete.
So you sent me a FAKE and UNCOMPLETE Shock Troopers cart. Nice.

Now is time to fix this, if you're an honest man who cares about his customers :)
If not, well, you were and still are just a scammer, as most of neo geo guys back at the time knew.

Andre, I'm not going to argue the facts with you because no matter what I say or what playmore said, you will never listen or believe it.

We had the rights for repackaging back in 1997. Playmore signed a sworn affidavit in US Federal Court that NeoGeoFreak/NGF-USA had full authorization for distribution and repackaging from snk-japan.

<<sold by Neogeo Freaks/NGF USA with the permission of SNK Corporation Japan. These games were sold by Neogeo Freaks/NGF USA with the corrected English AES inserts with the permission of SNK Corporation Japan.>>

It states we had the full authorization and rights. It doesn't need to state start/end times, because none is needed. We have all rights up from the start date of our distribution till the final deals in 2001, with KoF2001/Sengoku 3.

If you choose not to believe or understand how business works, then there is no point in speaking of it any further.

Just enjoy your Shock Troopers and be assured that it is 100% official and authorized version from NeoGeoFreak/NGF-USA and snk. (item #137 on the playmore press release). Merci.

That's the most ridiculous thing i've heard for a long time.
So, basically, if i get Apple rights within France tomorrow, i'm the official one in my country since existence of Apple products?
Then i could sue the french Apple distributor, who distributed and sold the products BEFORE i signed any contract? That's what you're saying?
Since you sold me Shock Troopers YEARS before signing any contract with SNK Playmore (SNK Playmore didn't exist at this time, by the way)
You're getting more and more ridiculous.

Why are you still avoiding questions?
I ask again: WHERE IS THE MANUAL? Can i get a COMPLETE game, please?
I'm waiting for it since 1997.
    Answer that. It's simple.

    Thanks.

First off I know nothing about Neo Geo or playmore etc.

I do know that Adol is a long time respected collector and do not doubt what he says.

However, I just can't see how a company would sell someone the rights when they had been selling them illegally up to that point. To me that makes no sense.

Hehe this is true, I don't know all the facts but who could come into this thread and get them?

Step 1. Dion says he did have the rights and some say he didn't.
Step 2. Everyone says everyone is lying.
Step 3. Go to step 1.

If Dion didn't have the rights at that time then someone else did, right?

Show proof that someone else had the US rights at the time he says he had the rights and that would put it to rest. Dion printed the manuals and covers so if a game has a manual or not I don't see that as proof of a game being official. Are you telling me that if he himself printed a manual then it would have been official but because he didn't then it isn't?
