I was away all weekend, and I can't believe how this thread has gotten so convoluted and twisted with so much misinformation.

I'll try to put some of the remaining questions into perspective:

1. SNK-Japan did indeed grant NeoGeoFreak/NGF-USA permission and authorization for repackaging and the NGF corrected inserts (as seen on playmore's web site press release.

2. NGF was NEVER sued by SNK-Japan. It was playmore and snkneogeousa (formerly known as Electronics Entertainment Internation) that alleged we didn't have the rights for repackaging. But it was proven in court that NGF did indeed have the rights, and playmore offered Chris and myself a settlement and issued the press release verifying the NGF corrected inserts are authorized.

3. NGF still retains the rights for repackaging ALL neogeo games from 1990-2001.
Games not included on the playmore press release, such as Bust-a-Move, Zupapa, etc... are due to human error.
www.NeoGeoFreak.com will soon include a update with the full list of games that are licensed and by permission from snk-japan.

4. That "assault" photo was staged. (in no other photo at the cge am I wearing a tank top). For that photo, I removed me shirt and we posed for the camera. Many years later, even the photographer Mikhail/kiselgof distorted the truth and starting claiming he was a witness and just happend to be at the right place at the right time. For clarity... the photo was staged.

5. I did speak with mike/tonk/skymathematics via telephone. I told him that chris sold the Last Odyssey flash rom proto cartridge, but chris has the game backed up on rom image files. So... Yes, we do have Last Odyssey. That is why I said visitors can come to Colorado to play it. (If needed, the game can also be played at my house in Las Vegas)

6. NGF provided photos to show the "lost" game, Last Odyssey, This was big news at the time, and most people had never heard of the title. We later provided a full 10 minute video of the game in action (the one everyone has now seen)

7. The person who purchased the Last Odyssey flash cartridge plans to do a release. He has now asked to do the release together with NGF to maximize sales (and to make it easier to locate the needed sac carts, do conversions, get artwork, etc...). It is something we are considering. (nothing has been finalized)

8. KoF2000 authentication program is real and exists. I'll add photos today.

9. Yes, we do have a working alpha proto of Neo Pool Master. This has also been saved and backed up as a rom file.
It works fine with all versions of neorage. (I guess I'll have to show some photos)

10. Yes, a lot of the extra "talk" is bravado and done for more excitement. I'm not trying to get into a physical confrontation and/or fight with someone over video games. (but it does work to keep everyone's blood pumping and keep things interesting)(it's just for fun)

11. Believe it or not, I have no problem with mike/tonk, or anyone else for that matter. Him and I have known each other for over 12 years. All in all, that can be seen as a long standing friendship, with some arguments here and there.

I don't mind the debates and the arguments, but I feel things should stay classy and not involve insults or other personal information. But people need to learn when to accept proven facts and not twist things around. (example: playmore's press release states NGF inserts are authorized and done with the permission of snk-japan. That is done and final. No further arguments are needed.)

I can also confirm one thing that I may have been wrong on - Chris does indeed own an early build of Neo PoolMaster. I have no idea of any history of the game, but I have (1/27/12) photo evidence which I told Dion I would keep private - I don't know if the game is authentic or not.

Last Odyssey still edludes me, and until Dion sends me a text of anything new, I'm gonna chalk it up to hype and fabrication.

Keep in mind that games such as Bust-a-Move, Panic Bomber, Mr.Do, Capcom vs. SNK, Bomberman, Prehistoric Isle, Strikers 1945, and other titles have all been crossed over and look similar on other platforms as well.


Trackball games....
Irritating Maze and Poolmaster have a strange relationship to the neogeo library. These were not originally developed for the aes/mvs hardware, but for the trackball cabinet. So the history on these titles can seem a bit strange to the casual neogeo fan.

I'll start a new thread so we can discuss the neo trackball and it's planned games. I also elaborated about the proposed and supposed "6 more titles" planned for the trackball cabinet (possibly just vaporware). I mention these on the last few pages of the "lets talk prototypes" thread.

I remember Legit being a member here back in the old days of Roarvgm and the old old board (easyboards?). He was just a member, like any of us. After several years as a standard member, he was promoted to moderator, and a well respected one. We're talking years ago. He had an accident and as such, didn't get online much. He wasn't on the forum for a while, so he was demoted.

I spoke to him several times and eventually persuaded him to come back. He was happy to be here as a member and contribute. After some time, I was speaking to Kev and mentioned in passing when Legit was a mod. He seemed to think it was a good idea to bring him back as one! I don't think it was until some time after he was reinstated that he happened to make scene releases and large donations to the website. So how did he buy his way onto the site, exactly? I'll field this for you.
Playmore vs. Aruze over some copyrights that Aruze was still using for their pachinko machines after Aruze sold the snk IPs to playmore. Aruze won their case and reached a settlement with playmore. (the pachinmo machines that were released were an ongoing deal before the sale of the snk name and ips to plamore, so those machines were grandfathered into Aruze's copyright).

Arcade Infinity, DAX, and World-Wide video were taken to court for alleged charges of copyright infringement and counterfeit mvs cartridges. All parties reached settlements.

The mvs cartridges in question were KoF2001.
The cartridges looked to be legit/official. All games were purchased from outside sources, not directly from playmore. Arcade Infinity, Dax, and World-Wide Video decided to not bother with any more mvs sales, since many counterfeits are being sold direct from distributors in japan and china, most of which were allegedly sold directly by snk-japan through backdoor sales (for tax benefits).

Aruze sells SNK because....
snk-japan was under investigation for alleged tax evasion by japanese authorities. Since Aruze is a big gaming (gambling) manufacturer of video poker, video slots, and pachinko machines, they had no choice but to sell of their SNK subsidiary and not be associated with tax evasion or other illegal activities.

I'm unsure about Aruze, I believe it had something to with using SNKP's characters in another game or something.

Arcade Infinity was accused of making money off of bootleg MVS carts, as was WWV. Dax, I have no idea.

If it sounds like I wanted your opinion I'd give it it you, it's only because I've been down that path and know where it leads and if people cannot agree they should be made to, but by who? The thing is I learned from my mistakes a long time ago and I hope at some point you two will too, but if it seems like I'm raging all of the time it is only because my matter of fact attitude is coupled with apathy.

One of the things you'll need to understand though is everything has a balance - there will always be a good and bad guy. The catch is, things arn't in equal amounts at all times and sometimes there is a complete role reversal. It is also possible one can be equally good and bad in the extreme with a unity of opposites. As such the good guy can be bad too. The problem is you may lack the ability to see the situation from a stance other than your own. You need to be mindful of such things in your dealings with each other.

We'll never agree to disagree... but if we're going to be a dick about issues we can at least use a condom i.e. be civil about it. To be fair the trolling aka stalking, harassment and intimidation is the only thing I ever had a major problem with.

2. In TonK's first ever post he violated the forum rules by posting an eBay link to his sale outside of the eBay thread.
3. I then moderated TonK in accordance with the rules. No saying fuck your mother or anything like that. I was actually quite welcoming, more so than many of the NG folk have been to me (Rot and Kiselgof are cool though, others too)
4. TonK replied and is thankful for not being bashed by me and seems quite reasonable about the whole affair.

5. TonK's second AG thread posts links to ROMs which violated the rules of the time.
6. I moderated him again and let him know what the script was.
7. TonK responded and seemed to accept that he broke the rules, no harm is done and all is well.

8. Despite being shown to be in the wrong and seeming to accept said fact, TonK then posts more eBay sales link outside of the eBay sales thread here, here and here which voilated our rules. A great way to show he is capable of learning, huh? Maybe he thinks he is something special.
9. TonK is then politely told off by another AG moderator here.

10. TonK then posts yet another eBay sales thread outside of the eBay links thread. Seeing a pattern? TonK is always in the right, even when he is wrong.
11. TonK is then politely told to stop by yet another AG moderator.
12. TonK then gets arsey with the AG moderator despite being told he is in the wrong on several occasions. Uncool.
13. The AG moderator politely puts TonK in his place.

14. TonK posts another sale. This time it wasn't a crappy eBay link, but he didn't post set prices which violates the rules and his OP is edited to reflect that.
15. TonK then gets arsey about the whole affair. He believes he is right in another persons pond, despite the rules clearly showing him to be wrong.
16. TonK along with the AG members correcting him are put in their place by ASSEMbler.

17. Tonk then posts GBA Castlevanias SEALED + Another Set For Sale! It was for offers, when the AG rules clearly stated fixed prices. People question his low post and ignorance of the rules. TonK says look it's TonK but the thread is deleted for non compliance. He seems to ignore he may be a somebody elsewhere but it isn't worth shit at AG. Likewise the same deal with me here.

18. TonK then posts FS/FT: TONS of Stuff: - GBA - DS - Transformers - PSX - SEALED - Promo. It was for offers, when the AG rules clearly stated fixed prices. People question his low post and ignorance of the rules. TonK says look it's TonK. The thread is deleted for non compliance.

19. TonK then posts Neo Geo Stuff For Sale. There were items over $99 in value. The rules state all items over this threshold must have a picture and the member name in shot. We do this to try and reduce the amount of scams at AG as anyone can say they have soemthing shiny to sell, we require you take basic steps to prove it. The thread was deleted for non compliance.

20. TonK finally gets his act together and his posts comply with the rules. It took him 4 fucking years to get there though. In due course he was promoted to Neo Geo forum sub moderator.

21. Dion shows up. TonK goes into emo rage mode.

22. TonK is demoted. TonK then gets arsey about it to the AG Admin. TonK then gets banned and AG gets trolled.

You claim I bought my moderator status. I'm guesing due to scene releases and donations in the past year, yet you ignore I moderated your first few posts at AG several years ago, just as you ignore other shit in the case of the world vs Dion/NGF.

If I'm a shit moderator because I complied with the rules, let you know what you did wrong, allowed you back after were banned for being an ass to question Dion politely and showed you infinite fucking patience, then so be it but poke me with a stick and watch my bollocks grow!

As such I think you've got some issues and you're in need of councilling. As for the people still struggling to grasp why I'm here. TonK was on AG. Dion followed him to AG, but his baggage followed him too. NG members then violate AG rules and troll the shit out of the AG forum. I come here to make sense of the matter, after being invited here and then I'm trolled too.

I'm quite content to listen to some things with regards to Dion but I'm no longer prepared to lsiten to an idiot or his sheep, sorry.

If there is anything to discuss about Dion I'll do it with someone I respect such as Kiselgof and in private, though I don't have a huge problem if such findings are made public as I don't say anything behind closed doors which I'm not happy to repeat to your face.

LeGIt, let me pose to you a serious question. I've been a quiet member of this site for quite some time. I've been a lurker at Assembler for quite some time, and a registered poster for a small bit. I don't know you other than what posts I occasionally come across on either of these boards.

I've never dealt personally with NGF, and my collecting/gaming habits dictate that I really have nor have ever had any reason to. Nor do I have any real qualms with you.

I've noticed you've posted a lot of rather abrasive, perhaps brutally honest reasoning trying to explain some of the reasons behind what you say. You've got issues that make you deal with people in ways that may offend them do to whatever problems you have, and you really don't seem at all to be embarassed about your own personality flaws/quirks that may be considered you just being a rude (or honest?) inconsiderate (or frank?) in situations that would require a little more compassion or at least empathy.

I've noticed several times when people raise legitimate reasons for being angry you always say "sounds like someone was butthurt and never moved on", as if it's a personality flaw on their part when they get fucked out of money/time/work on their part and hold a grudge against it.

So, just so I can try to comprehend where you're coming from when you basically accuse these people of being immature since they haven't "buried the hatched" so to say, whats the line you draw? If someone flat out steals several hundred from you, being that you lambast others for not moving on, when would you? If I sent you a product (or no product at all) and blatently stole several hundred from you? At what point would it not bother you anymore? The reason I ask these things is that when you make statements like this it's just flat out condescending to someone who's obviously gotten a raw deal. Personal question, but do you have a well paying job? Wealthy family? Fucking someone out of $100 isn't a big deal if they make 200k a year. Trashing a middle-schoolers PSO game probably isn't as tragic as an adult, who has job/rent/wife/kids/responsibilities and took months and months to get what an unemployed dopehead with nothing better to do accomplished in a week.

I guess for tl;dr, what's would have to happen to you (along the lines of what has been brought up in this thread; ie shit quality items, no items, stolen money, stolen time) that you would "still be butthurt after 10 years"?

I do not feel privileged in any shape or form whatsoever. Look how small you were when you first came here? Nothing changed. With or without Dion or the bullshit you're no more special than anyone else. One day you'll realise that.

I've been more badass than you can possibly imagine. I've nearly died so many times its unreal and yet I always get back up. I've experienced things that would have broken any other man yet I keep on moving.

I appreciate your contribution towards ghostflop and helping to ruin the market for a bootlegger, but the thing with your releases is there is a lot of I, I and I and not a lot of we, we, we.
