    [UK->WORLDWIDE]FS:NOS GC Viper Extremes

EDIT : Bump and Price Drop !!

I have recently aquired some brand new, unopened Viper GC Extremes, arguable one of the best GC mods of its time.

They are NOS in original packaging with all the original parts including the usb cable. They come factory flashed with a bios that will allow reflashing via standard ISO9660 DVD. I have succesfully reflashed Cobra 2.1 via usb
to my own with Windows 7.

    Total Prices (unit/shipping ) are :

    UK £23 (20/3)
    Europe €33 (24/9)
    USA $45 (32/13)

From the UK, shipping prices are rather expensive. But, given the difficulty finding NOS stock of these items I would for my own peace of mind will only ship them recorded then the cheaper regular airmail because i don't want them going missing en route.

By all means if you want to order more than one then the shipping is conciderably more economic.

PM if you have any more questions.

How many you got? Also, what does NOS mean?

NOS = New Old Stock, i.e. a box was found in a warehouse.

As Alchy points out they are New and still in their factory anti static baggies. I have a box full of the buggers so if you need a few thats no problem. Once they are gone tho, they are most definately gone.

Do these work on the Panasonic Q and are they simple enough to install? I have a freeloader and bought NTSC-J copies of the only 2 games I care to play... but the Viper is tempting nontheless :P

Also could you drop it off at an office in Bradford if you're in the area? Its not far from Subway sandwiches/Halfords/Whatever else is there to save me some postage... though for what its worth I'm also quite happy to have it sent to me (IF I buy one! window shopping atm, probably timewasting :P)

No, the usb interface part is designed solely to fit in the expansion port cover of a standard gamecube im afraid.

TBH if you wanted , grab a spare GC off the bay and bring it round the house. Ill stick the vip in it for ya and make you a brew at the same time.

BTW, whats with everyone from Bradford all of a sudden :) Just found out another member lives about 1/4 of a mile from me in Wibsey..

    Small world. .

I don't live in Bradford... I just travel there now and again to fix some PC's for a friend :P He lives locally to me but makes a weekly trip there to check his partner is OK and to sign off on stuff etc hehe

Just as well I guess - after blowing my cash on NTSC-J copies of PSO and Super Monkey Ball I have literally just got my PAL copies to freeload in colour using the hold B trick =/ I'm tempted to pick up a PAL 'cube too but meh we shall see... shame this doesn't work on a Q though but then again probably blasphemous to mod one!

Good luck with your sales ;)

The USB adapter could fit in a Panasonic Q, but it wouldn't be too pretty.

I've seen a ViperGC installed in a Q before, not sure how the USB portion would work though, I only seen it briefly on some website before I got bored and went to another site.

Although, I'd love to have a Panasonic Q with a ViperGC -drool-

A standard BBA fits into a Panasonic Q so should the Viper GC Extreme USB adapter ;)

Not sure what you mean about how it would work though, it would work exactly like a Gamecube would use it - so you can dump games off it etc using the right ViperGC Extreme software. I'd prefer a BBA honestly (since you can always use HTTP/etc) where as the Viper GC Extreme adapter relies on drivers/etc :)

Well, you learn something new everyday. Now that i think about it, the Cobra Bios 2.1 pack does contain some stuff to inject the PanaQ drivecode.

Hope the Vips arrived safe and sound Emu btw :)

MrSporty I have a BBA in my Q atm anyway and got a spare BBA for a second GC... but... if I did go along with the Viper plan and bastardise the Q, could I use the BBA at the same time also? I don't want it to be a case of one or the other :( Maybe the USB could be redirected out to the other unused serial port opening via extension or whatever, or is the BBA bay totally blocked so it wont slot in?
