Man... as rare and cool as some of these prototypes are, I feel like there's a lot of inflation going on. $14-15k is just too much.
Here is a post that talked about it "Timberfan" said he knew the owner

He's a bit ambiguous about it. For all we know he just knew of the post here on Assembler where I got all my info and was thus saying he know how to get into contact with the owner :x Anyone that REALLY knew the guy who owned it I think would put more effort into some sorta fundraiser or get more information, rather than just say "I can contact him if I want to.."
Doesn't add up to me. I registered and am PMing him to see if he really does know the guy though.

Thought so, he knows no one. :)
Well, I guess the only other option is to ask right here. Hey guy, you who bought the Twelve Tales proto for over $14k. We want to know how we can go about obtaining it for preservation. Please post here and let us know!
It's worth a shot =p

This is already an old thread, but it's really interesting to read. I was a huge fan of Twelve Tales during it's development and bought quite some magazines with screenshots of it, because I wanted it so badly! But later then I had to realize what they've done to Conker. Conker's BFD is hilarious, but I love the cute Conker from DKR. I also would like to know what happened to the proto the fan bought for this amount of money! I hope we will ever know. Maybe only time can tell, but if there's ever a fundraising to get more than $14k, I'd give a bit of my piggybank!

People have claimed to have Twelve Tails a few times in the past but nothings ever really materialized past talk. Would love to see it happen though, Rare games interested me a lot during the N64 games. So many massive changes through the development cycle of almost every game they released that era.
