    rvm to iso conversion

    Hi,

Is there anyway of converting a .Rvm file to an .Iso image file?

    Thanks in advance

I think .rvm == .iso just like .gcm == .iso, try renaming it to .iso and open it with img burn and see if it works

Thanks for the reply.. I'll give it a try :)

I didn't have any luck with that unfortunatly. I need to convert it to a .iso file so I can use it on the dolphin emulator. Are .wii and .rvm file the same things? I read that you need to unscramble .wii files, tried that with no luck either but only tried one unscramlber program

I'm not really known with wii stuff, guess you have to ask some one else :s

    Good starts.

I'd also have to guess you shouldn't come here asking for advice on how to pirate games to run in an emulator. Not that I think that is what you're doing or anything...

Thanks for trying dragoon and the links ape, I've been through them before and still no luck.

I make game trailers for video game companies and we were looking into using footage from the dolphin rather than capturing it from the Wii itself due to its ability to render in HD, which would help us a lot, but all we can get hold of is the .rvm files.

But by capturing in HD you're marketing something that can never be achieved using the actual game, thereby false advertising which is illegal

What you've done there is not only jump to multiple, stupid conclusions but also made a statement that (now I'm assuming) you have no idea or knowledge on, as well as accused me of breaking the law.

    1. I never said that this trailer would be going public and therefore we would not be marketing anything.
    2. If it were to go public we could very easily and lawfully add text to the footage in the vein of 'this trailer does not represent in-game footage'. You may have seen it on many other video game trailers.

I came on this forum for some help, which dragoon and ape have been very kind enough to give. NOT to have my job and legal standing questioned by someone who quite clearly hasn't a clue.

Well, let me know when nintendo let you officially use an unofficial emulator for running the games on because from what I remember, they don't.

Bear in mind that in the past retail games have contained code stolen from MAME, and that developers often use unofficial hardware for development purposes... and then ask yourself whether or not Nintendo are going to care if someone quietly uses an emulator for a video.
