    XBMC/DVD2XBOX Game limit?

    Hello,

    I recently got a 1TB HDD for my Xbox, I am running XBMC. I started installing all of my Xbox games using DVD2XBOX 0.7.8. After about 116 games (with 470 gigs free) it erases the game at the top of the games list to make room for the new game, Is there some sort of limit on how many games I can add?

    When i say it erases the game, what I mean is it erases everything in the folder but leaves the empty folder behind.

    Has anyone ever heard of this or what I can do to stop it?

    Thanks!

    Did you use xbpartitioner to setup the hdd.

    I recall correctly, you need to fix your cluster size, increasing it. I think it was from 32 to 64. Using xbpartitioner. This solved problems with big hdd's

    EDIT : "0GB - 512GB ====> 16k clusters
    512GB - 1TB ====> 32k clusters
    1TB - 2TB ====> 64k clusters
    2TB - 4TB ====> 128k clusters"

    Damm I cant believe I remebered that off the top of my head, but there you. You need to do this to avoid corruption.

    So, it was a clusterfuck then?

    There is no way at the moment to have more than F and G Partitions.

    The Max Partition on each drive F or G is 256GB formatted with 16kb clusters.

    Using 32kb clusters F or G can be 512GB each

    Using 64kb clusters F or G can be 1024GB each

    Using 128k clusters F or G can be 2048GB each

    When you use the correct format cluster, you can add a bigger hard drive without corruption.

    Example: If you add a 500GB hard drive with an F Partition ONLY and format with 16kb, you will only be able to use the first 256GB of the hard drive. After that, all new and old files will disappear or become corrupted.

    So, in this example, it's best to use F and G Partitions of 250GB each with 16kb clusters.

    For a 2TB hard drive, use XBPartitioner to format the F and G Partitions (1024GB each) using 64kb clusters.

    Thanks for the info guys. I formatted with Xbpartitioner the first day you guys told me to and it worked. I just forgot to come back and let you know.

    Thanks!
