SMS not working on X'Eye w OSv20, FWv12

Do others have good results playing SMS games on the X'Eye? Using OS v20 and FW v12 on my Everdrive the games flash and load fine, but have garbled graphics. Is SMS even supposed to work on an X'Eye? Or does it only work on Genesis 1's?

Any info would be great, and I'd be happy to test out alternative FWs or OS'... I have a USB blaster here that I used to update my Everdrive FW once already with no problems.

as far as i know hard reset does not work on X'Eye. without this signal impossible to switch between genesis and sms mode. sms can work on xeye only if sms mode enabled before power on (power base converter for example)

I would assume one could install a switch to manually ground the required pin. I used to own a X'EYE myself and from what I recall of the board it was basically a Genesis+SCD inside the same case with a few changes to the rear connectors.
