Big clearout of Atari Jaguar stuff on eBay

It looks like one of the main collectors of Jaguar stuff is having a big clearout. I'd guess he's a member here.

We're talking Jaguar II prototype, dev-kits - allsorts!

Yeah, it's a little bit too rich for me. think I'd rather have a Jag VR system at least it's playable. I'm guessing you can't do much with the Jag II system.

I'll let the picture do the talking:

Basically a nice and tidy selection of controls/inputs/outputs taken (or derived) from the slot connector on the back of the Jag.

I think you actually meant to link to:

    http://shop.ebay.co.uk/evillynn723/m.html

And not the search for Atari Jaguar - not all the Jaguar items belong to this seller ;)

It's a fantastic collection (look at the link) and some lovely items from it are up for sale... but I do feel they're too expensive in a lot of cases.

Yes, you're right - not all of those are from one seller, but this is the inverse of the link I was searching on so I thought it was good enough at the time.

I'd say the majority of the items he's selling are over priced by at least 30% but hey, its their stuff and if thats what he wants to sell them for, then thats his choice.

I collected Jaguar stuff for about a year and then got out of it, controller was killing my hands. Its an interesting system but it does have its flaws. That being said, I don't think any system is perfect . . .

Shouldnt this be in the eBay thread? :S

Also I sent the seller a question to see if the Jaguar 2 works - it does not.

Never was much of a Jag man myself. I did get hold of one in 1996-7 with CyberMorph however it was broken.... not by me though!

I thought about putting it in a sale thread, but: a) I'm not the guy selling it, b) it's the significance of the collection of genuinely rare stuff specific to a particular machine that made me think of putting it here.

Actually this was mentioned in the eBay thread, however its enough stuff and enough obscure Jaguar hardware that I think it's ok for it to have its own thread . . .

So, I mentioned this in Jeff Minters Forum, and he apparently has the programmers reference document for the Jag II. He said he will probably scan it and make it available.

Another programmer on the thread - Dio - said that he considered the Jag II to have fixed quite alot of the percieved problems of the Jag I. This guy should know what he's talking about too - he's written a Jag Emulator.

I'm obviously interested in it because it's the son and grand son of the Konix Multisystem (in effect).

It would have been interesting to see what it could do, but to be honest I know of no code or demo's written for it and certainly no games, so it's really just an academic exercise in speculating about it's performance and capabilities.

It's BuddyBuddies... odd guy but he has an awesome Jag collection. Not only that he was one half of the team that recently released the Tiny Toon Adventures alpha (Jag) and Relief Pitcher (Lynx).

Really thats BuddiesBuddies stuff? Wow, I know him fairly well from JSII, wonder why he's letting go of part of his collection.

I know for a fact its not everything, last time I talked to him he had a working Jaguar VR System and more Jaguar Kiosks than I could remember . . .

The eBay thread is for posting interesting eBay auctions, regardless of whether you're the seller or not. It's interesting to discuss separately, though.

Yes, it was listed in the eBay thread - several times!

Even the lower priced stuff is unreasonable. $35 for the Jag PCB clock? Best still sell them for $29.99!

I'm surprised you didn't see the link to the collection on the auctions. Yes, it's just some stuff... but there's more than there was a week or so ago. And he has a lot of VR stuff.
