WTB: cheap nonworking CDX for parts don’t need a working cdrom.

Please make me a fair offer in most cases people need a replacement cd rom I don’t.
    I need the other half.

As long as it plays genesis game with no issues.

    Inquire with this fella:
    http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/member.php?u=9995

He had a CDX that worked 100% aside from a controller port that refused to function rendering it next to useless. He was going to send it to me to look at as he ran up against all dead ends but I haven't recieved it in the mail and I never got confirmation after I gave him my info that he shipped it out.

So it is very likely he still has it. However he is in the UK making shipping anything somewhat pricey.

id guess the controller port runs from the lower pcb, that would not help me any.

I have genesis sound generated issues on mine hoping to replace the lower pcb.

mainly want to play pier solar with no audio skips, my sega cd1 has issues with it, but i found standing the sega cd 32x combo beast on its right side helps a hell of a lot. never heard a skip yet. getto as hell :033:

Sounds like you just need to replace the capacitors and it'll fix the sounds.
