Their main market is Sweden, and they're pretty expensive, but as they ship to other European countries too, I thought I should ask you add them for completeness. Now and then you need that hard-to-find component, on those occasions it might be useful to have as many potential sources as possible.

Lol, yeah they have gone downhill a lot in recent years, although I did find a store in NYC that had a decent selection of components still a few years back. They're kinda going the way of their former UK counterpart, Tandy. Abandon your roots and start selling shitty gadgets. By the end, Tandy were pretty much justselling cheap PA/disco/"hi-fi" gear (Jamo speakers lol) and Amstrad PCW computers!

A couple more UK based ones that I've used in the past:

Nikko Electronics (good for misc. semiconductors/ transistors and other electronic parts).
Charles Hyde & Son LTD (good for TV spares, but a little bit overpriced).
VisionAids (mostly obsolete TV and VCR parts, but carry a large selection of semiconductors).

Thanks for the links, guys. I've done a long-needed update of the list based on those suggestions. And this thread has finally been stickied - so hopefully people will see it now! :)

Oldgamingfart - Shh! You're giving away all my best suppliers! Haha. Actually, I've probably raped them of all the stuff I needed ;) Charles Hyde are more TV/video, but there may be some good things e.g. arcade LOPTs, so I put them in, too. VisionAids is similar, and I'll give a warning that some people on a repair forum at the end of last year reported they didn't get replies to e-mails, phone calls went straight to voicemail with no call back, and orders didn't arrive... so I'm not sure what the status is with that company. A shame, as they were good!

Keep those links coming, guys! Does anyone know of any good electronics suppliers in Japan, for example? Or Brazil? And the rest of Europe must have some places, still! I'll have a dig around and see what I can come up with, too... although recommendations would be great!

omp - I'm sure they're good, but for this purpose, I'm only going to list proper suppliers, not eBay sellers. This page would be swamped with eBay sellers, I'm sure! So I'm going to say they have to have a website with an ordering system that isn't just an eBay redirect. In the case of these people, they claim to be American but have very poor command of the English language and only offer a 14 day returns policy, with no mention of a warranty.

Thanks for those. I updated the list. I put Conrad under Germany, as that's their origin.

Army electronics places are usually surplus stores. Whilst those stores can be gems, they usually don't have a regular stock, so I tend not to list them. However, this place does seem to have at least some stock, so I've included them.
