Hey Guys & Gals,
having stumbled across this site and been told by a friend of mine that he has had a friend of his fix his PS3 for free, does this sound feasible, check the site out for the information
Things like these are all over MoneySavingExpert. When I'm in a bad mood I prefer to put in my own work and kick some ass though ;) You will probably get a few rejections and may have to end up going to a small claims court as even with a legal argument they will stil ltry and fob you off. Just stick with it and eventually you'll get somehwere ;)
so you reckon it would be a good idea to try ?
The only thing you have to lose is time and some of your sanity :P If the cost of your time to do so is greater than the cost of the repairs then maybe don't bother :P Though even in that instance I'd do it as a matter of principle. If you're skint give it a go. Even if you're not skint give it a go. Just don't expect to succeed on your first or attempt. The refusal is a little bit more headache, but just acknowledge reciept of their letter and reiterate your case with a deadline 28 days (or whatever you fancy, within reason) for a satisfactory response.. Log the amount of time you spend dealing with them. 3rd attempt issue in court for cost of repair + your time with copies of correspondence and your timesheet. Small claims fees are affordable, the other side may not even represent themselves in which case you will win by default, even if your court submission only states 'I blow goats' :P If you're on benefits the application fee can be waived, but you need proof and have to fill out an extra form.
