Ah.
I hate it when people put BIN prices that are so high that the only choice is to offer them a price. The trick is that you have "nothing to go off of" for the price, so often you have the chance of overpaying. But at least for me, when I see someone pull that stunt, I just completely ignore their listing. I hope that thing never sells.
Whats with all the games on ebay selling for thousands of dollars like a sealed VGA of pit fighter on sega genesis $19999 what makes it any better then a non VGA copy lol cannot believe some people are like *oh its VGA it must be one of the last sealed ones in the world I better sell my car to buy it* it would be funny if some of these sellers have a whole box full of the same game
What I want to know is what are these people that "grade" videos games basing this shit off of? It's not like there's a definitive guide.
I wonder how much they pay for that VGA "certification"... anyway, they're nuts when pricing the VGA items... I can't believe people actually buy at that price.
what I found funny about this shit of VGA is what happen if the game is bad and does not play, is like if you buy a console that is never opened and you bought it for thousand and it doesn't work. For sure its not worth it to be a collectable it has to work, that its why I dont buy anything that its never test.
Video Game Authority.
They rate the condition of games and systems, but they're a real load of shit.
Has anyone ever seen a sealed game with a rating of 100%? I mean, even absolutely flawless looking sealed copies have a maximum of 95-ish or so... at least I've never seen a 100% copy. That alone would piss me off if I was a "VGA-boxed games collector". Why should I pay thousands of $$$ for a game that's been rated 88/100, even if it looks absolutely perfect to me?
That's like as if I bought a perfect condition, never driven red '67 Ford Mustang convertible that looks absolutely stunning - but someone put it in a gigantic box and wrote 91/100 on it so me and others are always reminded that something about it is shitty. Also what if I just paid $150,000 for it and another owner with a seemingly identical car gets a box with a 92/100 rating? There's probably no real difference, but wouldn't that piss you off so much? :D
It sounds funny, but isn't that exactly the case with those $500 sealed games in VGA boxes? How would they distinguish between a , 88%, 92% and 93% sealed Mega Man 3? I don't think they have all 3 copies on their desk at the same time to compare and set a standard....
it's SHIT.
