I'm surprised at how many people I've been hearing lately that started playing this game. (Around 3... still a lot for such an obsucre SFC title. And yes, it gets very very hard. ;-)

I am currently playing Dead Space 2 on my newly built PC, and boy is it fun. The opening cinematics blew me away.

Edit: And today I started some Grid, Plants Vs. Zombies, and Super Meat Boy on PC!
All of them pretty excellent I must say. Love the drifting events in Grid, and Plants Vs. Zombies is one of the most addicting games i've played in awhile! Makes me want to get the DS version!

Virtuoso Beta for PSX . . . this game is rough but the idea is intriguing, its really just a Doom clone but the controls . . . they leave alot to be desired . . .

Tales of Phantasia translated to English for the PSX <-- so glad I got this, only about 50 minutes into the game and already the story is fantastic and the gameplay is surprisingly refreshing for a game of this age . . .

I'm beginning to realize there are many great RPGs out their that aren't Final Fantasies!

Just started Vanquish for the PS3, which is kinda hard actually, but very enjoyable.
I am playing again my favourite platformer on the Gameboy Classic, Kirby's Dreamland 2, this time trying to beat it with the final ending.(when i was a kiddo i didn't complete it 100%)
And some Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on the GBC just to pass the time..

I realized recently that playing RPGs all the time made me wanna play something else...
I have left like 4 RPG halfeway, to which i will return after 3-4 months or so because of that issue... (the rpgs were Metal Max Returns and Shin Megami Tensei on the SNES, Thousand Arms on the PSX and some more)

I found some discs of my uncles from years ago. C&C Red alert (ONLY FOR USE ON TIME PCS!) I'll have to get a small P4 PC set up so I can play it.

I think I may soon also be revisiting Canis Canem Edit. back when I was in year 7 and 8 I used to play it daily and beat it six times 100%ing it twice and being able to complete the essential missions (to beat it) in less than 7 hours. I'm surprised there isn't a speedrun of it. So soon I'm going to make one I still have my gamebridge to record with. Does anybody have a partners youtube account I could upload it to as I doubt speedruns.net would accept it.

I'm introducing my girlfriend to more gaming options, currently.

She's a Pac-Man fan, and loves Mario and lots of old, mainstream stuff (she is knowledgeable in Snes-era stuff)- but she's a little on the young side (she had an N64 as a kid, or so she says), and hasn't played many things. She had never played an Atari 2600, or a PC Engine - for example, and that has been remedied.

So this saturday, we fired up Ikaruga, Rocket Riot, Raystorm, Mega Man 9, and whatnot - and Last saturday we attempted a one-sitting playthrough of Super Mario 3 (we're at world 7 now). She's borrowed my DS and is currently playing Ace Attorney and FF6.

Next week, I'll introduce her to the Dreamcast.

All this retro has, however, kept me from continuing Dead Space and Tales of Vesperia, which are still on hold.

Switching between Tales of Phantasia translated (PSX), Policenauts translated (PSX) with the PSX Mouse which is so much better and Gran Turismo 5.

Was anyone else disappoint with the new challenges this week?

Yes. Well, having new races was cool, but they're not really worth running because you get barely any money or XP.

Wait you can get money and XP? I thought it was all just global competitions like the drift to see who could get the highest score/lowest timed lap . . .

    Dead Space 2.

    How to play:
    1. After midnight.
    2. With a nice pair of headphones.
    3. All the lights off.
    4. Leave your front door open.

This game will freak you out. haha

    Killzone 2.

Really enjoying it. Other than the smart/formidable enemy AI, it isn't a particularly incredible FPS by conventional gameplay standards, but I just love the Killzone universe. I feel like more thought went into the character/world/weapon/vehicle design than went into, say, Halo. Seems less generic, more gritty. I can play it for hours, just campaign.

Hahaha your fucking crazy! I hear tons of noises that I think are coming from my house due to the game, even with my door shut! ;-) but im sure it must turn the fear factor up.

I wonder what it would be like to be a farm boy living all alone in the middle of nowhere playing Dead Space 2. I think it'd crank the intensity up!

    Game Dev Story (iOS)

It's not that the game is engaging or amazing. But there is something that sees it more as a puzzle game then a sim. trying to figure out what leads to success or breaking the game. So far I've landed a lot of 300-700k sellers with one 1.3 million seller. =/

Biggest hurdle I find with the game is being able to raise up capital to buy a console license. They're just crazy expensive and I don't see how it can be done in a reasonable time frame.
