Thread: A Chance to show off your "Nintendo" collection

  1. #41
Ha, the Pokemon fanboy has a 3DO in his picture :smt042 I thought this was supposed to be a Nintendo ONLY collection. Looks to me like he went out to a pawn shop and bought some random stuff to make his "collection" seem more impressive.

That poke kid's collection is sad. I had a much larger collection of Nintendo stuff when I was his age.

Ok, well not the plushes, but I had around 15-20 N64 games, 6 SNES Games, 5 GB games, a GB Pocket and GBC, SNES, N64, bunches of Nintendo Power mags (erf), a complete set of Pokemon cards, and some strategy guides.

Not bad, but from a value/actual collection stand point, my collection wasn't terrible given that I still had to depend on allowance and could only buy one game (for any system--rules. blah.) a month.

heh, you where pretty lucky, you know? i was able to buy a new game each after i finished the last one (with a minimum of 2 or 3 months, if not, my mother didn't belived me) and only if the price of the game i wanted was low, those where the old times. i think the only exception was when my uncle bought me my nes at my birthday with super mario bros, and my mother gave me the legend of zelda 2 weeks after. :smt045

sure, i had little secrets, i started to search in garage sales at a very young age, there was some pretty good deals sometimes and i could afford the prices without asking my mother to buy it for me. Now, at each summer, i do garages sales as a tradition, and because you can find little treasures for low prices sometimes!

aaahhh... the good ol' times! :-D

my collection was pretty small, but i was a master in each games and knew them like the inside of my pocket, unlike now.

exact, there's not alot of snes games that used the mouse here (2 or 3), but it's still common.

Yeah, but try collecting all that shit in the UK. Most SNES/N64 carts were £45-65 new, Nintendo Power isn't sold there (OK, there's the Official UK Nintendo mag, but it's probably more expensive), and not forgetting the fact that Nintendo generally hates Europe!
