How many 64drives are you going to make? I won't be able to purchase it until January.
Drool... I want this so badly. Thinking about getting rid of my 360 dev stuff so I can afford one of these.
I bet Marshallh will produce whatever number that is demanded... he has put a LOT of work into this thing, so making a very limited production doesn't make sense.

Working on one of the most complete N64 release lists available.
are you going to number the first 50 or so? :P

Just drop background.jpg on the memory card, and it'll do the rest.
Good way to personalize your own cart.

Must be 640x480 less than 170kb

So, any game (And there are a lot of them) that saves to a Controller Pak, MUST have a Controller Pak physically inserted into the N64 Controller to save?
Or does the 64drive save these Controller Pak save games onto the MicroSD Card?
If not, is there any way to then copy the save from the Controller Pak to the 64drive MicroSD Card and then load it from the 64drive MicroSD Card?
Virtual Controller Paks would be great.

it would be nice to be able to store controller pack game saves somewhere else,
I have a dexdrive and a bunch of controller packs already :P so i should be okay
Yes.
No, but it might be possible to patch controller pack read/write functions to save data to CF/SD (either by telling 64drive to emulate sram/flashram and saving there, or by writing the saves in raw format to the CF/SD).Or does the 64drive save these Controller Pak save games onto the MicroSD Card?
It's certainly doable, but there isn't a tool for end users to do it... yet.If not, is there any way to then copy the save from the Controller Pak to the 64drive MicroSD Card and then load it from the 64drive MicroSD Card?
If someone could get in touch with Silo (one of the guys that made Rtool for the N64) then I'm sure he'd be glad to help.
I don't know if he hangs around the dev scene on efnet or irc, but I know he made RtoolDS ROM Manager 3 years ago, and was posting on http://www.advanscene.com/ so if anyone is a member on there, there maybe a contact address on his profile.
Another option perhaps, would be to reverse Rtool (if there's no source)
and modify the code to save to the 64drive hardware.
Why bother reverse engineering the tool when libdragon already handles mempak reading/writing nicely, and FAT64 exists for reading/writing stuff to CF/microSD?
