I remember nintendomad from the days of the ezboard. One of those names you haven't seen for awhile, but you recognize it when it pops up. (ie: Trigga 007). Haven't seen AntiPasta for a bit, or GSL for ages, LeGit...and the list goes on. Hope they're all doing well.

Sometimes I don't think about the fact that the people here have names, faces, families and whatnot---the Internet can do do that. At times like this, though, I can think about it---imagine the person, and all of the people the knew, family and whatnot, and its all just very sad.

Condolences---from some random guy on the Internet.

I have AntiPasta on Facebook, and I can vouch for him being okay. Pretty weird that someone as active as him would just up and leave the forum, but he's fine.

I saw SilverBolt here the other day, too, which is good because he hadn't been active in a while. GSL and LeGit aren't around, yeah. Neither is Mr. Casual or Alien Workshop (though he hated me and we got into arguments a couple times) - who were also very active.

There have been other cases of fallen members, or members who have gotten very ill, right? I sort of recall a user named KStyle or something similar being in distress when I started posting here.

A lot of the people you mentioned had some pretty major real life changes.

I just saw this topic. Wow, I remember him from all versions of the forum, too. Very sad news indeed. My condolences to his family.

Not wanting to deviate OT too much, but Legit is having some health issues, not to mention legal battles, arising from his motorcycle accident. I do speak to him on a semi-regular basis and he's doing OK.

Thats sucks. I bought and sold some stuff with him too, mostly around 2003-2004 I think :( Was always a pleasure to trade with him. Nintendomad and people like him will be missed.

He was a big big nintendo guy and would put up huge debates on nintendo's past present and future and whilst never meeting him, it felt like (at the time) that it was the start of many heathy banters to come. Unfortunately he posted less frequently (as do I) and a lot of the regulars faded away too :-( with Yakumo being an exception :-) it's quite sad to know that a once very active (in the online world) person can gradually fade away but leave's many memories and now sadness in his passing :-(

May I wish his family all the best, and raise a glass to a great contributor to assemblers past :-)
Exactly. One of the members of yore, I remember ICQing a lot with him back in the day. Such sad news :-( My condoleances to his family.

Good to see you here again, by the way, Trigga.

(sorry for bumping an old thread, I only just found this as I don't read the boards that often)

    Damn.

I know I'm not as much of an old timer on this board, but still. RIP dude, may you be playing Ura Zelda and Mother 3 in the sky. Also, quick hogging it and send us down a dump of them! :D

Over at my site, a member passed away a long time ago. We actually had to dig to find out what happened to him. Its always hard knowing... or not knowing where community members go. You'd like to think they just move on in life and found another hobby. However many times, members pass on, and you don't even know it. They just don't access their accounts anymore, and you never hear from them again. This is a morbid reality of the internet.

Check out the avatar for the member that passed away (Dark Slayer 5000):

This still gives me the creeps everytime I look at it.
