Asia's "Rare" to be Used in Unreleased Sega Game?

I was reading this Wikipedia article and came across this quote.

"...and 17 to 22 for a Sega unreleased video game."

Any idea what that game was, or is this just a time that Wikipedia was wrong? I have to fix the wording of that too...

Yeah, wikipedia is not exactly the best source of information. I think it's fake. Anyway, if it's not, it was recorded in 1997 so it's either a Saturn or a Dreamcast game.

Seeing as the first 16 tracks were used for a fish documentary... maybe these were part of a canned Ecco game. Again, speculation on wikipedia "facts" but still :P

Damn... I was apparently winning up until then according to the rules.

Anyway, I'll write it off as a Wikipedia lie. I'll ask in an Asia forum though too. If I do get any info, I'll post it here for anyone that might care.

How about someone more Wikipedia-savvy puts in a "citation needed" note?

I added the citation needed, and all I've been able to find is that allmusic (and people copying and pasting from them) say that the music is "part from a video game". Unfortunately, as Asia and Rare are common words, it's been difficult to find any information on what game the music came from.

So I found an Amazon review that says there's information in the liner notes about the game, and it was based off of a nature show (Salmon: Against The Tides) that the musicians on the CD also recorded music for. I'm not paying the price they want for the CD though to find out if there is more information in the liner notes.

    EDIT: And more info.

Another project to perform the soundtrack for a Sega video game falls apart due to disagreements with the producers of the game.
