Any chance these would work the same as dumping a retail game? Anything I should watch out for? Thanks
They should dump like normal games, there's a few rare ds cart dumping copiers around.
Most easy way to dump afaik is to use a NDS cart like for exemple an R4, and use the Wi-Fi dump program. Then you can connect with your pc/mac using an FTP-program. Dumping takes about 40mins depending on the size of the game.
Use a variety of FTP clients. Try bulletFTP, filezilla, etc.
you can't if it's a "twl" proto. DS or DSi (retail) can't read this cartridge.
the new files from nintendo have this protection.
Wooddumper for the cleanest dump

+1 for the wooddumper. This great (but not really nice looking) tool exists for slot 2 flashcards, and also for wifi connections.
After dumping your protos, check the roms deeply with an hexa editor to remove the useless things. I've often some tiny roms (less than 128 mbit) flashed on some big memory capacity (2048 mbit proto). The dumper will of course dump the totality of the cart, and 99% of the dump is useless :)
if you need more help feel free to pm me.
Actually in quest for Nintendo 3DS related stuff. If you got some Panda consoles, SDK, debugger, or protos to sell or trade.. msg me =)
