Beavis and Butt-head in Virtual Stupidity (CD-i)

Back when I first refound my love for beavis and butthead I discovered a game that I never knew. I knew off the SNES, Mega Drive and game boy game but I found the PC game. Wikipedia states that it was planned to have a CD-i release but stopped when the CD-i bombed.

A CD-i port was planned but was canceled due to falling sales of the console. Atari also designed an arcade game in 1996, but it was never released.
So im wondering did It ever begin development? I think it would have been okay for CD-i as it isnt a visually demanding game and being point and click even the god awful remote style controller would have worked good. Were there any betas/protos, scans or any information(CD-I only please]

Man I so loved Virtual Stupidity so much (specially the mini games) that I made a cheap hack port of the spitting mini game to the GBA.

    =D

    -edit-
=( I don't think I ever posted the demo online. I can't find it. I did find my old nickname though "subice" Lawl

I'm pretty sure Hock a Loogie was more well known than the actual Virtual Stupidity game. Especially since you could get it for free off the Internet/a demo disc/whatever.

This thread reminded me about this game again, got it years ago but never bothered playing. Just got past it tonight and it wasn't bad, though short. CD-i port couldn't have been too interesting since it was likely capable of being an exact replica of the PC one.

I'd love to see that unreleased arcade game though. Good to know that it's at least being shown around and not completely hoarded, but hopefully it gets dumped and distributed someday.

I have been wondering a couple of times if I should invest the money and buy that Japanese B&B game. It's at least 25$, so I have yet been able to resist although I really dig the TV show.
    (heheheh... he said "dick")

Is it even playable or is everything in Japanese? What about the audio?

i have only seen a few pics of it on the net but it looks like a side scrolling beat em up with some cool mini games thrown in.

the psx game i think is in japanese the text and the audio but i will check later.

Eeer.... heheheheh.... eerrr.... I'm uhh... hhehehehe I'm sure it's an adventure or somethin.. heheheheh

    hrrhrhrhrh yeah! yeah! hrhrhrhr

No really, it looks like a point & click adventure in which you control Beavis & Butthead with some additional minigames thrown in. I will probably buy it at some point and try if I can beat it.

What this reminds me is how much the Megadrive B&B music was better than the SNES one, despite the SNES having more "advanced" sound hardware.

The whole Genesis game was better in every aspect than the shitty SNES one.
