If I might add my 2 cents, an uncompressed torrent would be the ideal method, so that items of interest can be downloaded individually.
Most people don't have access to a newsgroup service, though, and aren't about to pay for it.Considering isp's track and will limit your bandwith if you are using torrents, I think newsgroups are the way to go. In every case newsgroups have always been extreamly faster for me.
It's obvious that some form of p2p is going to be used. A torrent is the most obvious, and the least hassle for all concerned.

Shuttling it to Usenet would be a good way to guarantee it'll be around for at least 90 days, 180 or more for providers that keep it up that long.

here is utorrent portable dont know why they dont list it on there site anymore but ether way here you are
its an installer but its just an automated zip file
its all self contained and can be put on your flash drive good to take anyware
after you basicly unzip it
