    Vintage Nintendo Entertainment Mario Cabinet

I don't know if this the right section to post this in. But I know where I can get one of these "Mario game cabinets" and am wondering what they usually go for and what their rarity is.

It's a 3rd party item, so probably not much. All those media holders and such tend to not go for a lot.

I couldn't find anything on this except two articles. I'm fairly sure the one I know of is a bit different.

I remember them selling them in places like sears, they were really cheap wood composite.

Yours is in amazing shape, it's cool to have for sure but it's not gonna sell for more than 100 on any day. I think $40-80 more like it.

If you can't compact it for shipping, you'd be lucky to get even $40, I'd have thought. The cost of postage will be brutal.

Then again, Nintendo collectors do seem to go in for the trashy merchandise. Who knows.

Dude, that's freaking boss. I would jump on that if I had a dedicated single system setup for retro action.

It looks like it barely fits much at all. Pretty ugly IMO.

Are there any 1st party Nintendo accessories of that same realm? I remember seeing so many NES cart holders, a lot of which only said Nintendo (we've got a black one or two) and I always wonder if they were 3rd party or not.
Is there anything like this that is known to be valuable (specific items)?

Hmm... dunno about NES and SNES, but there sure were some Nintendo official cart holders for N64.

Look at this pic from my collection thread, it came with my N64 iirc, you can see a cart holder/organizer on the top right, and official jewel cases on the left.

Oddly enough I have this SEGA CD, CD organizer that dosen't hold the games! It's for regular jewel cases!

You sure it's not a Mega CD organizer? Those do come in regular jewel cases.

On the topic of cases, I've been thinking lately about a good way to organize all my games. Discs are a bit simpler because carts come in all sorts of different sizes. Still, it'd be cool to have an official cart organizer for every system. Unfortunately those things tend not to hold very many carts, so that's a problem when you have tons of them. Take that N64 organizer for example - it looks like it'll hold about 16 games. I'm pretty sure I have at least 20.

    That Mario graphic is hideous.

I just checked, it actually says SEGA Genesis not Sega CD. Though I'm still perplexed as to why they made a CD organizer.

What would have been REALLY awesome is if they sold regular CD jewel cases along-side the organizer with a roll of labels or something, marketed to consolidate the size of your SCD collection.
