I tried copying the contents of the disk to my computer but my 360 XDK doesn't seem to connect to my PC anymore since I upgraded my computer. (Probably a coincedence, network was acting funny on my kit since I bought it).

And my original XDK's network is fine, but the DVD drive won't read anything :/

EDIT: Bit of a noob at the 360 XDK, got it working :P
Copying the contents of the disk now

EDIT2: All files copy fine except cyclotron.map, shared.map and waterworks.map. The copy dialog just hung when it got up to these files.

EDIT3: I managed to get cyclotron and shared (cleaned the surface of the disk really, really well).
I was also patient this time when running default.xbe and saw the main menu. Never thought I'd see it outside of a video!

Two Naomi games. Guilty Gear X and Cosmic Smash. I never really liked Guilty Gear on the Dreamcast because I could never play it but I'm sure glad I've given the arcade version a try. It's a fantastic game with a stick.

    Sweet!

So you got that Naomi kickin' ass after all, how many games do you have for it? Saw a couple of posts ago that you got DoA also.

    Nice arcade pickups, but why exactly did you buy them?^^ The Dreamcast ports must be somewhere at your place, crying for attention! Now that you bought their cousins, probably even for a higher price than what they had cost, those poor DC ports must be that close to suicide. ;_;
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Guilty Gear X = 800 yen. Cosmic Smash = 1100 yen. Both way cheaper than their DC cousins. Some of the Naomi carts are so cheap. You can get stuff like Sports Jam, Giant Gram Wrestling, Gundam and so on for under 1500 yen. I'm only getting stuff not released on the DC from now on though so I'll have to do some saving for those titles.

DoA came with the system  I have 3 games so far but I didn't spent a lot on anything. The Naomi was free.

Oh hahah, I didn't realize Naomi carts were that cheap in Japan. Well then I'd have taken them as well no matter if it makes some Dreamcast-port cry :033:

Problem is that most games on Naomi that weren't released on the DC, like Mamorukun wa Norowarete Shimatta and Melty Blood - Actress Again tend to be on the pricy side and there isn't really much on the standard Naomi that isn't on the DC or would require special hardware to run (touch screens, driving set ups, etc).

I've always wondered how inattentive (while driving) a person is when they really have to pee in comparison to, say, an identical person who had a pint or two.

I totally did the same thing. Played a show, drank water, had a pint, drank water, loaded up equipment, got in my car, got on the highway for my 30-min drive and THEN I had to go.

I hadn't seen Slashout until today - checked some screenshots and it looks pretty cool. I await your footage of it (I'd go watch YT vids, but they all look/sound crappy and all seem emulated)!

Yes, most Naomi game vids on YouTube are emulated. You can't beat the real deal, that's for sure.

You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe.
