Just bought my cousin's Panasonic Q + Q GBA Player/disc + Controller and a mem card etc for £20. It is unboxed, which I don't give a fuck about but not quite in collectors condition. It is fully functional though which means when I get home I'll be able to put my GameCube BBA back into service and try out those Shiggsy flash carts :D

EDIT: Also includes a Freeloader disc, Phantasy Star Online Ep 1 & 2 (can't find box etc) and a boxed copy of Burnout. Have since found the remote and stepdown transformer for it too woot!

Got my Panasonic Q home and having issues with the video on PAL games too for example when I try set up my BBA I just get BSOD, though maybe it's because I have a PAL BBA? :S I figure its more likely the part which boots up hasn't been freeloaded too... or maybe it is because of memory card format regions in differing modes. I dug out an S-Video cable so I can stop using composite, but I still ned to get hold of a component cable :(

Anyhow I thought bugger it and just bought the Japanese version of Phantasy Star Online Episode I&II off eBay. Hopefully this will give me less issues and I can enjoy the game in full colour sooner rather than later -_-

never messed with any PAL games on my Q, have you checked if maybe the Q has the region switch mod that was pretty common from the importers?

edit: I take that back, I did play the PAL copy of Doshin The Giant with no issues, but didn't try BBA

Was in town today picked up a PAL copy of Super Monkey Ball for £3...still having black and white issue on my Q even with S-Video... no problem though - I got home and checked my e-mails and I won an NTSC-J copy on eBay for just under a fiver shipped... roll on Monkey Target!

Apparently I need an awesome TV or PAL games which support 60Hz to have full colour on my Q... or to just play NTSC games :( I'm hoping once my NTSC-J PSO comes (28 euros shipped from Italy?) I can play it NP and the PAL BBA doesn't cause problems or that is anothr expense.

I'm still not sure what to do about the take the piss pric for the component cables :(

BTW: The small piece of fascia around the LCD, the shrough bit, is missing. Still a good deal @ £20 though :P

Just bought a copy of Pier Solar (reprint edition) direct from their website.

Now all I have to do is wait for eternity for it to arrive.
