    SNES/SFC Dev Kit SF BOX-II

I recently received this from someone who was a long time developer at Konami. Enjoy the shots. It came with the appropriate cables and what looks like an interface card for the PC-98. Happy to entertain offers.

According to the contact, this originally cost 2.5 million yen and was connected to a host PC (either a PC-9801 or Sony proprietary Unix workstation). This is the EP-ROM version where as there is a cheaper kit which ditched this functionality. It does work as a normal SFC with the usual multi out on the back and controller ports on the front of the machine. (There was an SF BOX that was used before the SFC's release.)

Very nice indeed. Have you tried turning it on and playing a game on it? Any idea what kind of "special" functions it has?

Finally we know the real details about it. It was always speculated whether this was proto development hardware or official or not. Still nice piece of dev equipment, puts the snes st(is that what it's called?) emulator to shame.

I have the one on ebay (i.e. without the EP-ROM shown in the OP) but mine is black not white and it has a port on one of the sides that I had a cable for unfortunalty had no other cables or software.
