I got a US SNES with a SuperEverdrive (thanks Krikzz ;))
I understood that Super Everdrive got a Multiregion CIC developed by Ikari_01 inside, so is there any point in installing the SuperCIC chip into the SNES if using SuperEverdrive ? I am a bit confused about that.
    Thx

Correct, you can change 50/60hz and use any region.

So Krikzz what you put in the SuperEverdrive is the supercic-key right ?

Then it could be interesting to install the supercic-lock even with the Everdrive ?

Minimal. 95% of games have a playable enough NTSC version you'll get by. SNES had near zero original PAL development, unlike Megadrive. And just a handful of SFC games translated only for PAL are dialog heavy (i.e. Terranigma).

Use RGB problem solved? I haven't run into any problems with Terranigma on US SED on RGB.

I figure anyone buying $100+ flash carts for 16 bit systems *have* to be die hard retro gamers if they insist on real hardware and not emulators, thus should probably be using RGB monitors and SCART/BNC cables anyway.

RGB doesn't affect whether your SNES model outputs 50 or 60 hz. A game that blocks 60hz still will not run with RGB. Even if the system's lockout chip has been disabled. You need either a video mode switch, or patched rom file.

So i just purchased the ultimate edition of the super everdrive and i cannot wait to get it. Is there anything i need to know to prepare for before i get it in the mail? Do i need to do anything special to my back up roms so that they will play well on the everdrive? Lastly i cannot seem to find back ups of the bs games. Does anyone know a good site or link for them? You can send answers through pm if that is easier. Thanks again krikzz and stoneagegamer for making this awesome product!

Green Line down center of menu/games

So i just got my super everdrive and im having an issue where i have a green stripe running down the vertical center of my screen that is only visible when the screen is black. (hard to describe i know, but i can post pics later) Is this a known issue? Should I try updating my OS?

Well it only occurs when I use my everdrive in my snes its definitely not the console or the display.

but cart it is a data storage only, so cart can't do something with display controller while gameplay. i guess that you are the only man who can see green lines and problem somewhere else

Now, I don't know about the Everdrive, as I've never had one, but I started getting the green lines only with a few games, namely Macross Scrambled Valkyrie, on an old SNES.

Mine were horizontal. But they were green, and always happened with said cart. Then, one day, they started happening with all carts, and also the sound on the console was... a bit off. Somehow... out of tune.

Try plugging in your console through RF or others, and see if the line is still there. A member here told me this was an output issue, and pretty much could not be solved. It could also be your cables.

I ended up getting another two SNES consoles.

That could be the fix. My brother recently purchased a SNES and when he used the RF output, there was a loud buzzing sound on the TV. It seemed to work fine when testing the SNES with a composite cable.

Buzzing is generally from interference with the cables. Many of us using SCART cables with the SNES have experienced it (particularly when the video is very bright). There is some new SCART cable on eBay for the SNES that has (at least for me) completely eliminated any audio buzz that I experienced with SCART cables from 3 different places previously.

Can you please link to those cables? I love playing snes games through my sound system but that buzzing almost kills the whole experience. I found a scart cable that was not as bad as my last but it is still noticeable.
