    help with japanese typing.

    Hello, the thing is i used to type in japanese like this : らんま and not it types it like this : スチミモチ (it says ranma....) well, anyhelp? heres a pic of my settings and stuff...

    Look at your IME bar (at the very top -- it's transparent in the screen shot). There are 8 or so setting areas from here. The one you're interested in is the 4th from the left -- input mode. You've set it to half-width katakana apprently. Click that, and seleect "hiragana". This will put you in the hiragana/kanji mode. You'll know if you're in the right mode when the symbol on that button is an "a" in hiragana.

    There are four modes:
    Hiragana
    Full width hiragana
    Full width katakana
    Half width hiragana
    Half width katakana
    Direct Input (romaji)

    Chances are, you'll only ever need to use the first and the last.

    whoa

    fixed. changed imput method to romanji (was kana) and changed default input to hiragana, thx :) :drinkers:
