Thread: I just got a job in Tokyo

Hey dude, I havdn't actually figured that out, but it makes complete sense (considering I am working at Toudai)! Cheers.

I'll be on the keio line for about 6-10 minutes - my work stop is komaba toudaimae and my girlfriend's is past choufu, at minami osawa. After April, I'll be going to hongo campus, near Ueno much more frequently, so I will be in the nut-to-butt commute no doubt. However, as I will be at uni working I think the hours might be a little flexible... we'll see!

We're looking for a 1LDK in meidaimae. Starbucks, dotour and so on sound good :) what supermarket options are there around there? Thanks for the info!

Yeah, gotta love the logic here. I know people that go to Waseda, and go to dorms in Chiba.

That's 5 stops if I'm not mistaken... local though. Depending on what time you're going in that line can be crowded. It's an easy cycle even though the roads are a bit wonky. You can't go straight along the railroad tracks for that one. You're a hop, skip, and a jump from Shibuya which will come in handy.

I only remember one... this site shows a few. I think Azusa is the one I went to and it left a lot to be desired. No import foods at all, and it was not that big. But, there's probably more now. I left the area 10 years ago. Shimotakaidou is walkable (10-15 minutes) and might have more. It has a Tsutaya if you're into nostalgia and actually rent DVDs. :033:

Thanks for all the helpful tips. Will check out the area now (google maps etc).
