"Being a developer" do not mean anything.

Normally, the auction seller should be verifying, on a case by case basis, if the buyer is entitled to obtain and use the devkit (eg: in the case of NGC stuff, if the buyer is a registered NGC developer).

Obviously they didn't or something wasn't done properly (which I gotta admit is kinda nice for the buyer :). Unless the anonymous buyer is registered with all those constructors/platforms and has no problem breaking NDA by publishing pictures, which is likely not the case.

The anonymous developer is cross platform and has actual development rights based on aquisition of smaller companies. Currently meets outsourcing needs for larger companies.
