You recently listed the following listing:

    130411662952 - Super 64 game converter - N64 import converter

    Your listing has been removed.

Import converters are not allowed on eBay. Please do not relist.

I just did a search...no import converters show on ebay.

So, what's next? Not able to buy games from another region rather your own?
The production of silence in art is an utopian enterprise.
If we disregard the alchimie du verbe, traditional language cannot capture the essence of what we attempt.
It possesses utility only so far as it can construct boundaries. Forgive me, but I truly believe that music encompasses more, not stumbling in logic and formality.

I find it strange they would ban that, I'd imagine gamesharks would be the next target.

I though its been like this for a while now. They use to ban Freeloader off ebay a few years past.

Its not as if they are used to pirate games and in Assembler's case it is for a retro out of date console, they really are trying to just be a shop these days rather than an auction site.
If all else fails Nuke it from Orbit.........

I'm guessing since some import converters double as backup/copy enablers, eBay is acting upon them.

    *sigh*

German ebayers can be happy ebay didn't figure it out yet. According to the law, all imports from before the ratings were established are considered to be only for people of age "18 and above".

eBay Germany only allows items that are rated 16 max.

Yet there are a lot of imports available on ebay to date. I hope the day won't come when the consumer's interest it cut down to the ground. They already removed my auction for Star Soldier (Famicom 1987) because they game is "banned in your country". Yeah, right, it was banned in 1988 because of depiction of war and violence.

    Oh yes. :dammit:
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

I had an auction for my GameCube FreeLoader pulled AFTER I'd already been paid and sent the item to the buyer. I also had an auction for a SNES Action Replay MK3 which I bought on ebay pulled. But it's their site and if they want it to suck balls that's on them and other places can get your business then.

eBay once kicked off an auction of mine of a 2600 that was "modded" to run off 9v batteries and standard wall power.

The word "modded" got it flagged and removed for copyright infringement.

Lame, yet when I have been ripped off and bought fake games on ebay, they didn't care at all.

Me thinks they don't allow the sale of import adaptors simply to be seen doing something about 'pirate' games - while actually letting the profitable pirate auctions continue anyway.
