You need to let us know what's not working for us to know what to suggest.
The connector for the optical pickup flexible cable look like has been reworked before. Maybe you want to check if it has short circuits.
And a special attention to the ATAPI/DSP chip (the OAK Technologies OTI92) pins.
Check if any of them got loose. Solders do crack after some time, especially if the unit operates hot internally.

Like I mentioned earlier, you could try to re-heat or ressolder the pins on the DSP/Interface chip. (the big and flat chip) Also the CPU of the drive (the chip with the sticker)
Would help if you gave us a exact and detailed explanation of what the board does/not does ... :)

And if you have more than one HKT-01, have you tried using its GD-ROM board to prove that the GD-ROM board is faulty and not the other boards that interface with it?

l_Oliveira i have sent the gd-board now with tracking let me know when you get it thanks mate
Alright. I'm only worried about what have broke when you said you broke some pins of it.
I'll see what I can do about that once I receive it here.
Edit: I have several scraps of Dreamcast hardware so I have the OPTI chip. I don't have the microcontroller chip from a devkit though (the smaller chip with the sticker) as the boards I have here all came from retail units.
