    Just picked up Borderlands...

And damn, I really like it. Good gameplay mechanics and I enjoy how it plays. I have been hooked on it since yesterday, but still havent tried Co-op yet. Is there any connection issues?

But heres my question, I picked up Fallout 3 for $20 at Gamestop for the promotion they are using. Supposedly for brand new even though they reseal it infront of me and the case has stickers on it... Gamestop is so fucking lame. Anyway, I really like Borderlands, so is Fallout 3 really that great? Or should I just put my $20 towards my preorder for Super Street Fighter 4?

I've just been dropping Jager Bombs and eating Pizza, so sorry if this question seems like something I should answer myself... pub:

P.S. Also, does Babbages still exist over in the west? Or did Gamestop phase them out like EB Games?

P.P.S lol, Man Vs. Food just used the sound of one of the doors opening in Doom. =]

Borderlands was awesome fun. I was quite surprised how much fun it was.

As for co-op yes it works however ...

The online end is handled by Gamespy which can be finicky at times i.e. no one on your friends list etc

Voice chat clears up after about 10 mins but it can be garbled for awhile.

Get 4 players going and you'll see some serious slowdown depending on where you are.

In spite of all this it's still fun to play online though.

I just bought this too and I am having a great time with it. I have not tried coop mode yet though, and I hear hacked weapons are an issue. It reminds me of Phantasy Star Online.

yeah i stopped going to gamestop for the reason you stated lol. And as for doom sounds, i'm pretty sure what they used is generic since the BFG sound is used on TV a lot.

Hacked weapons are not allowed with the latest patch. The game checks for weapon parts, and will not allow parts of different weapons to be put on one weapon. For ex. it won't allow for putting the Orion sniper electric shot into a shotgun.
However, you can still edit weapons into the game, but you can only create stuff that the game would eventually generate on its own.

Borderlands is a lot of fun, even if it can become repetitive. Also, if you play a fully maxed out Roland, the other characters will become boring - Roland can have ammo+health regen and so much ammo capacity bonus that you'll rarely have to reload.

I really enjoyed Borderlands and it's expansions. A bit repetitive yes, but in my gaming sessions I'm happy to always be actively playing and shooting the shit out of things. With limited time to play, it was fantastic, because you could dip in and out. Playing with friends was also great.

On the forums people are talking about maxed out weapons and full skill trees - people can drop skill boosters apparently. I also read they can crash games using certain weapons.

Borderlands has been sweet! Still playing it, and am only missing a few achievements. Online seems to work ok... Whoever isnt the host feels kinda laggy, but I can live with it. I also downloaded the Zombie expansion since it was the Deal Of The Week for 400 MS Points.

To anyone that got all of the Expansions, is Mad Moxxis Underdome Riot even worth 800 Points?

Mad Moxxi basically NEEDS you to play it with three other people. I found it impossible alone. The big matches of 20 rounds take about three hours or so depending on the other's abilities.

If you play alone, give it a miss.

You only need to reach round 5 on every arena, for the +1 skill bonus. You'd have to be stupid or really, really bored to play it beyond that.

You can get the skill bonus in both playthrough though, so thats +2 skill points.

Would anyone be interested in forming an ASSEMbler team for this game? I have the PC version myself.

Guess I'm in the minority then that thought this game was crap. Weak story, weapons from the first playthough tend to do dick on subsequent playthrough, the final boss is fucked up (seen it referred to as the hentai tentacle monster ripoff), doesn't really offer an incentive to replay the game once you've gone through it (except as another character type, and then it's just wash/rinse/repeat with a different ability), and the DLC was a bit on the attrocious side (Why can't you collect brains on the zombie DLC before getting the mission (they don't count otherwise); as said before, you need a team for the Moxxi DLC or it's a pain in the ass otherwise; and if your character isn't at level 50, forget the Armory DLC...you'll get raped hard). Gave up mid-way through my second playthrough as Lilith, cleared my 360 HDD of the DLC and gamesaves, and traded it in for a different game (I even pre-ordered it and the bonus guns sucked).
