A new member driven effort for older systems

I propose we host online for download all dev and sdk related files, including docs for:

NES
SNES
MEGADRIVE / GENESIS
SEGA CD
3DO

Man people have been asking for files, and I think it would be nice
to have an all-in-one solution that is free to download without
registration. I would re-open our torrent area and host these on
a cheap torrent device.

What do you think?

I have some host space, plus, as you know, a multitude of SDK assets and docs.

Edit: Also, could users up sets of subroutines and tools they make? Personally I make quite a bit of stuff for personal use for my MD programming. Might as well share :D

I can fire up some 100mbit http and/or torrent seeding if it'd help, have a crudload of traffic i'm not utilising at the moment.

EDIT: Assuming, of course, that this is legal. Although I can't imagine you'd be openly discussing it if it weren't.

Torrent sounds like the way to go. We can all seed it.

I don't think a torrent would be efficient. Nothing worse than a dead seed. Having it put on rs or mu would be best. When / if it dies, someone who has the mass collection (several of us should) can reupload it and the OP can be edited.

You can do such a thing for copyrighted SDK files, but the most accurate dev documents are now housed in wikis at their respective home brew scene sites.

I do have 32x SDK stuff, but I downloaded from members off of here, so they might have it, but if you don't receive it, just let me know and I'll email you the stuff.

I've organized everything I have by system. It's mostly documents, but there are some things here and there. I don't seem to have any NES stuff, but I am ready to go for the rest of that. :)

Edit: Checked the 3DO stuff. It's all Mac OS, so if that is useful or not I will leave it up to the site to decide. Is M2/Bulldog also uploadable (It's also Mac OS, damn you 3DO)?
