Nice Lufia scans. Don't think I've ever seen any actual game images from it before.

Yeah, nice scans. I'm not sure if you can say if those Lufia shots are from the SNES or not. One thing for sure is that the game was coming out for the MD so who knows.

Well, that Sonic CD one is interesting, I've never seen that title screen without the musical credits. Well, that just shows there might be yet another beta out there (perhaps what ASSEMbler found...?!?!?) =P

Some pics from old Brazilian magazines. Did that Ultimate Fighting (32X) become Cosmic Carnage?

I have some limited prototype footage of Keiji Okayasu's original Saturn technical demonstrations, including a version of Virtua Fighter that looks so much like the 32X edition it's hard not to assume he'd simply done a quick port job (even though that would still have been incomplete itself at this time) and made graphical improvements at a later date. However, the clip of Daytona USA is a 40% complete build with only minor differences compared to the final retail code, such as crashes not yet switching to the right camera angle and a lot of the heads-up display is still just being placeholder text. I'm sure a copy of the earlier footage may surface one day, but for now these screenshots are further proof most first generation Saturn titles were severely compromised as a result of the console's rush-release. For the record, did anyone manage to produce a high resolution, commercial racing game for the Saturn? Of course, the Daytona prototype was only a detailed car on a scrolling plane so the resolution and frame rate wouldn't have suffered too much... throw in a fully polygonal track or enemy AI and I'm sure things would have been very different!

What the crap!? I've never seen that Sonic screenshot before! Could that be X-treme on its early development?

Is it not just a tech demo/early code for Clockwork Night?
