    WTB: Midnight Blue PlayStation

Anyone have a Midnight Blue PlayStation from when they were running that contest? I have one of the dual shocks they gave out that way, but not the console.

I'm trying to get one PSX of each color - so far I have gray (retail), black (Yaroze), blue (test), and green (soak test).

I'm trying to remember what the run was for those - I want to say it's only something like 100 units, making it quite the pricey find indeed. I recall someone selling one on eBay last year, and I do believe the price was up in 4 digits...

If you're looking for all Playstation color variants, might I suggest the VideoCD Asian version? It was an off-white in color, sortof similar to the PSOne's color scheme, and was released in the PAL regions in southern Asia. It could play video CDs with no added hardware, a media that was extremely popular in that region (the fact that there were very few LEGIT video CD releases notwithstanding).
It will most likely be a bit pricey and take some effort tracking down, but I think you'd find that easier than the Midnight Blue PSX.
Assembler has a brief page on it: http://assembler.roarvgm.com/VCD_PSX/vcd_psx.html

I have one, but they are quite tough to come by (and I know there are a number of people who are willing to pay top dollar for one). If you find one under $1000, I would say pick it up.

Do you have any pictures of the label on the bottom? Also, does it play imports?

They made 100. Much less than that number were released, since myself and others know that a few cases still are warehoused at Sony. The contest initially was to give out 100 (in late 1998).

The label says <10 Million Model>. I'm at university now, but I'll grab some pics when I get home in 10 or so days. I'm not sure if it plays imports, but I've heard that it does.

    Hi Folks !
I'm getting rid of my Playstation and videogame-collection.
My boxed SCPH-1000 and my NUON-stuff are staying, though.

    This is my first auction:
    The 10-Million Playstation
    http://cgi.ebay.de/10-Million-Playst...1%7C240%3A1318

It is in pristine condition, the packaging is complete and it is a PAL-model.
If you mention this Forum and your nickname you may buy from overseas.

    Cheers, Gordon

Blue PSX for test? Green for soak test? What do you mean by soak test?
