    Unlikely. Xbox 360 + natal = $$$

Wii will be $150 soon. Natal is pushing $200 alone.

Plus, xbox 360 sure as hell doesn't have a wii sports or wii resort
    to compete.

If it's as good as it looks in the demos then this really is something special that I'd be interested in checking out.

this system isn't about Wii sports crap but about real interaction. The Lionshead demo is amazing if it is truly real and not planned out.

Advance appoligy... Im not trying to be an Asshole this was how I was raised.

If you have to own a console to play sports... and cant go outside and experiance sunlight and maby an abrasion or two in the process of having fun and socializing... how f'ing lazy can these people be. Im sorry but even a bowling ally has a ball people reguardless how out of shape they are can pick up and roll down a lane.

I am willingly admiting im not in the best of shape.... at 6'3" 230 lbs.

Natal is what the wii should of been. not to mention the $200 price tag that Assembler pointed out, But it will have decent current generation graphics...

So anyone else notice the hefty lag between movements and actions in the Ricochet demo? Not to mention the lack of accelerator / brake control in the Burnout Paradise demo...

Great so the Microsoft Xbox 360 will get Wii like games but without the Wiimote, but unlike the Wii you aren't hold anything, so there is the possibility that the unit isn't going to pick up the yaw / pitch of your hand for a number of games... I can see bundled items that will get broken or lost to compensate for this...

Most of the games are likely to be games where it can detect where parts of your body are, the Wiimote even with the motionplus unit still doesn't work that wonderfully.

The concept games (the ones where there is er no lag) and looks wonderfully scripted... Most would be a pain to play for more then 30 minutes too (hello all you Wii owners that own lesss then 3 games...). The driving games are the most funniest, so Wii owners, how many great driving games does the Wii have? Answers on the back of a stamp... again although they had Burnout Paradise, the control method did look all over the place and like the Wii it's surprisingly difficult to stick your arms out and play a game with nothing to hold on too... plus you look like a prat.

"Oh in 5 years time people won't be using a pad to play games anymore" quoted on of the E3 people... really? I mean playing Halo 4 using just the Project Natal controller would be fun... seriously a number of games won't work with just the the PN controller. Look at the Eyetoy and the number of games that are so similar to each other... or the Nintendo Wii with a large number of games using the joypad controller or nunchuk to play the games...

It's a nice add on, but with all these idiots saying the future is this, I do want to smack someone.

Natal will cost less now, especially without the processor. Id say 100 max, but who knows.

Sports games fulfill a simple roll : we arent all NFL (or sports) stars. Some of our bowling alleys are run-down dumps. Playing a sports game is socializing, especially in the university environment. Some of us also have bad shoulders, with no insurance to get them checked out :)

Most people Ive heard, that actually saw the Lionhead demo, said it was a great concept, but was basically that, a concept. Could only do so much on it and such, disappointing really.

My God, this is fantastic. The Lionshead demo is the best of the bunch and I don't see how it can be considered a disappointment really. All demos are surely limited by definition. It points towards something really interesting. My daughter was immediately interested and thought the character interaction was great fun. As it's more speech and direct interaction it appealed instantly. It should increase the number of females interested in gaming as a result, which is a great thing, but I do think that with proper development implementation it could work really well. It's the first time I have seen it and frankly the cost is irrelevant, we all know that if it gets taken up it'll drop in price.

The first game I thought of when watching the demo was Give us a clue (Charades) rather than sport.

Except Eyetoy really was awful and never really worked, unlike Natal, which if the AI is as good as it appears to be, does work. I remain to be convinced that the conversation between woman (actor) and Milo wasn't scripted, but the proof is in the pudding and I really want to see this working.

However, as for Milo. seriously could that have been any more scripted
    Eurogamer

According to Spike’s VP of Content and editor-in-chief of Gamestrailers, Shane Satterfield indicated recently along with his peers that there was a bit of deception with Milo behind the scenes after demoing it. He stated that the select few to demo Milo live behind closed doors were instructed by Microsoft to follow exactly what was shown in the video. Satterfield also stated that there definitely is some one “controlling” (influencing) Milo behind the scenes.
Spike’s VP of Content and editor-in-chief of Gamestrailers(Havent confirmed the source of this one, but it should be easy, and isnt the first time Ive read it)

    So yeah

As long as its representative of the final product i will be happy as these are aimed around a £50 Price Tag

It works fine, providing you have enough light, a large plain light coloured wall and you wear darkish clothing...

Project Natal works by using a low resolution time of flight, which helps detect objects and the Xbox 360 is quite powerful so it should be able to do some nice games but I am still thinking that it's an add on and generally add ons do badly or okay. They should have released it with the Xbox Third Strike machine...

Still think some of the game concepts shown suck, can you really imagine playing Fifa Soccer or Pro Evolution Soccer by kicking the ball, jogging on the spot and sticking your leg out to tackle people? If it had a decent head mounted display and head tracking then maybe some concepts would work a lot better...

Going back to driving games, nothing is going to get close to the pinnicle that is GT4 (except GT5) where you have a choice of three decent steering wheels and pedals and importatntly FORCE FEEDBACK!!!! As Wii owners know driving with a wiimote 1) Makes you look like a tool and 2) Gives a gaming experience akin to playing Namcos pole position...

Driving games without actually holding a wheel mounted to something are complete crap. This is coming from someone who loves driving and is good at it. The only Wii game that felt "realistic" was Need for Speed Carbon something or other. The one taking place on race tracks. Strange thing is that idiots in the likes of IGN said it felt awful. Just goes to show what they know.

Anyway, basically racing without anything solid just won't feel right plus you can't keep your hands in the correct position all the time, especially when you panic.

Meh, I'm of the mindset that I just prefer a controller in my hand.

Also due to MS trying to cut down cost, i'm less impressed with natal (suposetly only 30fps, eats 15% of cpu across all 3 cores, ...). They should have just kept the cpu in the unit and bit the bullet.

Personally I think even sony's stuff is not going to amount to anything good either but at least for camera input might be decent (since the cam can run at 60hz & 120hz).
