No Matter how high the hardware specs are its the devs that have to put the machine to its potential. theres no point having a 10 GHZ 100 core proccesor if the game is coded to only use 4 and it runs seamlessly reaching 10% of its power.... Actual figures are just made up. Im just trying to make a point

Larrabee has been canned for consumer applications. It will potentially be used in other industrial applications though:

Except, that report is from Feb 2009.

Also, the licensing deal NVidia struck with Sony is nothing like the one for Microsoft. Sony fab their own GPUs because they bought the rights to the RSX.

I think next gen will come for Xmax 2012. Xmas 2012 means acually we still have to wait for THREE years. The ps3 will be 6 years old, and the Xbox 360 will be 7 years old, so I think it should be around Xmas 2012.

I believe the ps3 is just in the starting blocks, SCE just started making profits with it and its development cost so much that they are not read to release a new console just yet, they need to make up for the losses of the playstation 3 first.

The playstation 3 console is capable of great game rendering and is yet to be outdated, what will make the difference and make the ps3 stand against high ends pc, are the exclusives. I just hope they will have enough.
