Absurd is ok but the prequel, Anthropophagus The Beast aka Man Eater is a great piece of shit, the best version to get is the Italian release on I think the Beat Records label, failing that pick up the 2 discer from Shriek Show. At least I think it's Shriek Show. Do NOT pick up the US release entitled Grim Reaper, it has different opening credits and music that don't fit at all and all the gore has been removed. Other quality D'amato titles are Emanuelle in America, Emanuelle's Revenge, Caligula: The Untold Story and Images in a Convent. In their proper uncut form all but Emanuelle's Revenge and ATB have some minor hardcore scenes in them but not enough to detract from the films as a whole.

Love Camp 7 isn't bad film but as Nazisploitation titles go it's not very good either. The cream of the crop is easily Gestapo's Last Orgy, followed by Deported Women of the S.S Special Section but I'm a sucker for all of them, even crap like 'Nazi Love Camp 27'. There's dozens to choose from, SS Girls is very good too. Then when you've done all them it's time to move on to the mother of them all... NUNSPLOITATION :love2::love2::love2::love2::love2:

    Watched 3 movies last night.

Hardboilded - classic John Woo. the opening shootout is better than almost every action movie i've seen in recent memory.

Akira - rewatched since it's been a couple years since my last viewing. if they can pull off a live action version of this movie, i'll be very impressed.

The Dark Knight - i saw the teaser for next years Batman and it got me hyped. :)

I watched the new Blu-Ray version of Akira last week, it looked and sounded incredible, they made a really good HD transfer of a movie that's over 20 years old.
I have no hope for the live action version being anything other than an atrocity.

That's good to know. One of these days I'll get out of the SD era. Maybe when I'm done with school or something...

It really is an awesome movie. Kinda interested in checking out the source material.

I finished watching Classic Doctor Who, it only took me 21 months to watch 26 years of broadcast :)
Thanks to the BBC archival of the show, a good number of episodes exist only as fan made recreations using still pictures, the radio drama and home recorded episodes when available, the original video tapes having been lost, destroyed or worse...

    Next stop: The Avengers

Tchoin, thank you, I didn't know Futurama restarted last month.

No prob ;-) , I actually just stumbled upon it a couple of weeks ago so had to catch up watching 4-5 episodes in a few days. I love the show, so good they got to continue :-)

I didn't know the classic Doctor Who was so hard to get! I always wanted to watch it but 26 seasons seems like I'm gonna need a loooooot of time.

I just saw 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'. Pretty awesome movie. The apes were quite impressive and very entertaining to watch.

The character with any development was the lead Ape, Caesar. All the human characters were pretty stale. And the Draco Malfoy kid was horrible and over the top.

Definitely see it for the special effects. The motion capture and facial animation are very convincing.

As the summer movies are nearing their end, I still have to say 'Super 8' is my favorite film. I doubt 'Conan 3D' will impress me... 'Apes' probably second favorite, followed by... X-Men I think.

The first 3 episodes of the new Thundercats TV series  Halfway through the feature-length first episode and the kids are loving it so far, they keep wanting to know where Panthro is though!

I've been watching Season 6 of Futurama, got episodes 19 - 21 to go through this evening.

Just finished all of Prison Break and christ what a train wreck it becomes by the end.

Season 1 was god like. Season 2 it began to slip. Season 3 they were breaking out again so It became good again. Season 4 is when the shit hits the fan.

It gets so rushed by the end a million dollar piece of equipment gets switched around like a pokemon card and the ending is god awful. Even after watching the final break its utter bullshit. Michael got revolutionary years ahead treatment from the company but his aneurysm/nose bleeds just come back? Another complaint is the misuse of T-Bag.

He became a likeable character. You could tell all his life he had wanted to be succesful and as Cole Pffeifer he became that and became a very likeable character (especially during the speech he gave about Brad. TV shows do it all the goddamn time and they refuse to let a former antagonist become a good guy. Gretchen shows up and balls's that up for him. He takes her sister hostage but allows them and the bible salesmen (who was actually an agent) to go and is then attacked and becomes a total scumbag only, he became such a likeable character that you constantly think ''He's gonna fuck the company over and help Michael'' But that never happens and by the final break he's back to being a double crossing scumbag.

Surprisingly Prison Break did however turn two antagonists into loveable characters in the form of Mahone and Bellick. Bellick was a surprise but Mahone I always felt would turn eventually even in season 2 because it seemed he had become a slave and wanted out.

They stereotyped Lincoln to be a total dickwad to people on his side (Roland most notably) and it made me dislike him slightly when he was meant to be one of the primary protagonists.

Prison Break is the prime example of a problem where the last two seasons were without a doubt for money. It could have ended after season 2 with a total exoneration and a fantastic enthralling ending. Ratings don't lie. Prison Break season 2 was highly watched and that was where it should've ended. A rushed final season ended in less than four million people seeing it. Purely because it was total crap by then and had slumped.
