Just saw THIS a few days ago....

All I can say it's that it is the best TV moment I've witnessed in the last year

I love that character, even if the rest of the series is going to hell

(the best would be Dick Cheney leaving the White House on a wheelchair, completely humiliated and hated by millions of people worldwide...:-P)

Extras series finale is coming in the mail today! I can't wait! Seriously one of the funniest, best shows I've ever seen. I love all the guest celebrities and the antics. So great...

True Blood is practically soft porn.

Man, just finished 'Extras'. So good. Up in my top 10 favorite television series of all time for sure. Probably in my top 5. I loved it.

    @Topic

I've been to the national Fantasy Film Festival lately, a festival that took place in eight German cities and features mostly independent European and Asian productions including horror and trash.

The first movie I watched was

    Outrage (Japan 2010, Takeshi Kitano)
A brutal Yakuza movie, filmed in a pretty slick style and climaxing in an orgy of violence. Although this sounds quite serious, Kitano manages like no other to combine cruelty with humor. Whoever liked his films Violent Cop, Brother and Sonatine will also like Outrage. I would say it was better than Violent Cop and Brother, but Sonatine still is the master of Kitano films that focus entirely on Yakuza business.
    4/5

    Next up was
The Human Centipede (Netherlands/Great Britain 2009)
For those who are not familiar with the story: A crazy rentired surgeon is eager to create a revolutionary achievement in science: He wants to connect several human beings to one centipede featuring an ass-to-mouth connection.
    Yes.
The movie takes place in Germany and the languages featured in the film are German - subtitled funny because those who don't understand it will laugh at the harsh pronounciation "DU DUMME SAU!" and those who get it will love the great dialogues "Von dir hab isch doch'n ne geile Kassette zu Hause!") -, English as a main language since the two girlies are Americans as well as Japanese, solely spoken by the male Japanese "head" of the centipede.
The movie starts like a really awful c-horror flick. Two "it-girls" are running through the woods and encounter doctor Heiter, who is nowadays' incarnation of a sadistic nazi doctor. His play is remarkable IMO.

It isn't all that bad for a trash movie and I'd definitely watch it again. Great with a couple of bands and one (or two) crates of beer.
    3/5 ("trash"-points)

Two days later, I was in...
    Corridor (Sweden 2009)
Medicine student is threatened by his female neighbor's boyfriend. Intense, but has some lengthy parts.. a good thriller nonetheless, but nothing really special.
    3/5

    Red Line (Japan 2009)
What a crazy piece of anime! OMG! Can't put that in words, but this was PURE anime action entertainment. Just watch it, you will be blown away. Don't expect something deep like Akira though, but that doesn't make it any worse.
Watch the amazing trailer and you get the idea.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFkkNxXuqQ0
There are almost no long dialogues in the entire movie, it's no "best scenes of the 140 minutes"-style trailer.
    4/5 for action anime goodness

    Monday...
Tetsuo: The Bullet Man (Japan 2009)
Before I write about Tetsuo 3, I'll let you know that Tetsuo is one of my three altime favourite experimental movies. Extremely fast, tense, surreal and stylish in the craziest way.
Just too sad that Tetsuo (3): The Bullet Man is not much like its grandfather. There is almost no dialogue in it and when they talk, it's in awkwardly slow English. The story is dumb (they try to explain the iron transformation with DNA... ugh) and the experimental style is reduced to a wiggly camera, not as ingenious like the crazy stop-motion action in the first movie. All in all VERY disappointing, but at least the soundtrack was nice. Hardcore industrial shit, I like it.
    2/5

Ip Man 2 (Hong Kong 2009)
Funny and great martial arts action, I liked it. The British boxer in the end must have been the dumbest-looking guy they could find, lol.
    5/5 martial arts-points

That's a shame, I loves me some Tetsuo. The sequel wasn't up to much either, though.

What makes it even worse is there's a lovestory involved as well as a cheesy revenge part ("why did you kill my son?", "I will find the murder of my son"). All in English (the main actor is the synchro voice of Henry Townsend in Silent Hill 4, but goddamn, he's a Gaijin! I don't want a Tetsuo-movie with a Gaijin that has a Japanese wife.

Shin'ya Tsukamoto can do much better, at least he could in the 90's. Maybe he should have created something new like Haze (2005) and not milk his initial success until the name has become another Halloween/Hellraiser-like synonym for "milked to death series".

    ...really?

Hell, I enjoyed it, but I can't imagine it being anyone's favourite movie ever.
