So... The Avengers will be first screened today in the USA?
If that's true, I can't believe we (Argentina) got it last week as Europe... weird.

Cabin in the Woods, Apartment 143, Stigmata and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
"Dear Princess Celestia,
I wanted to share my thoughts with you. [clears throat] I didn't learn anything! I was right all along!"
Everyone's RAVING about Avengers! Haven't had a chance to see it myself yet...
Avengers ending was pretty shit, everyone died.
Oh and spoiler alert.
In all seriousness I havent actually seen it.

I saw it yesterday, it was pretty sick. And that comes from someone who dislikes the X-Men AND Spider-Man movies :P
The 3D ist probably the best I've ever seen, even way more impressive than Avatar. It really felt to me like 'more than just a movie'. All in all quite an experience.
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?
3D is quite amazing in cinemas I have to admit. But I'm not a fan of the 3D Bluray shit, never got me.
Tron Legacy (2010)
Watched this 5 times in the past three days, i never usually watch any movie more than twice but i've really got into this.....even bought the soundtrack (only movie soundtrack i ever bought).
Best music in a movie ever.
The Avengers was very good, definitely worth multiple viewings. I got caught up after the fact with Captain America and Thor. I think the only pre Avengers film that I wasn't impressed with was Hulk, although I need to finish watching it to give a full review. The Cabin In The Woods was very entertaining, it was not your run of the mill genre horror film.
On a side note seeing Gates of Hell this Friday at a theater in Metuchen, NJ. I love this film, will be fun to see it in the theater.
^_^_^
'If you have kids, have them start shooting hoops instead of humans.' - Jack Thompson
I thought Thor was awful and I haven't seen The Incredible Hulk, but all the other Avengers-related movies are definitely worth watching. Especially Captain America was surprisingly good.
"Thor" was a chore. And I came out of "Captain America" and thought, "wow, that wasn't terrible." lol
i saw "The Avengers". i went into the movie not wanting to like it, just because EVERYONE was raving about it. But as the movie went on... I just couldn't help myself... hahaha
Classic hardware collector and modifier. Currently focused on Sega, Xbox, and Nintendo stuff. New Xbox project:
I saw "The Dictator" last night. It was mildly entertaining. The movie opens with a portrait of Kim Jong-Il and says, "In Loving Memory" lol....
Ive watched Band of Brothers twice and I cant wait for the third time. I saw a dual Blu-ray pack of Band of Brothers and the Pacific for $90 the other day and it was so hard for me to not break out the credit card. If I hadnt thrown down $100 already on a bunch of anime I probably would have.
By the way, speaking of the Pacific, has anyone seen it and is it as good as Band of Brothers??
I was talking to a buddy about The Pacific a couple days ago. He just finished watching it. He said it was good, and it looks great, and the production value is high, but the characters and the emotional side of the story was lacking when compared to Band of Brothers. In BoB I really got attached to a lot of the characters and you really cared about what happened to them and the series packed a pretty strong emotional punch. But from what I can tell, The Pacific lacks a little in that department, the characters aren't quite as memorable.
EDIT: Also, I just got back from a midnight showing of Snow White and the Huntsman, it's not too good. haha
