Questions about CD-ROM Generator Software

I have a questions about CD-ROM Generator Software.

1. Can I make correct ISO image with this software?
2. Can I use other professional recorders or CDW-900(E) and CDU-921S only?

Can I make a copy of PlayStation CD-ROM with this software? If I received random prototype on bad CD-R media, can I copy it to old Japanese CD-R 74/650? I think about old Tayio Yuden CD-R's.

I'm a little lost in what you're trying to achieve.. if the game is a "bad prototype" how will putting it on other media fix issues? if you really wanted to make a copy, just use any old cd writing software to dupe it.

I setup my cdw-900 last time with win 3.11 . I got it ready with EZ-SCSI 3.11 and the cd-generator. Dont know if other external scsi drives work with the software. But i dont think so! Cd generator works only with scsi. Burned some test discs(TDK 700MB), works great :love:

I belive there is a program called IML to ISO out there so you can use the generator software with any cd burning tooset out there like imgburn or goldenhawks cdr-win back in the day when I had to make backups for disc splitting issues.

Does it work with multiple tracks as well? I think to remember that IML to ISO can only be used to create the system area (license data for debugging stations) as well as the file system (put files at certain locations) of the data track, but there is no means to specify additional (e.g., audio) tracks.

No, you can't. CDGEN supports disks having multiple tracks, which cannot be represented by a standard ISO image. You would need a BIN/CUE combo, but unfortunately CDGEN doesn't support these either.
There is an option to create a "disk image", but I don't know of any software besides its own disk recorder that could read such a file.

2. Can I use other professional recorders or CDW-900(E) and CDU-921S only?

Sorry, I have only tested it with CDW-900E, but I believe it is just like Jackhead said. CDGEN only scans SCSI busses for recorders, and it won't recognize today's ATAPI drives (even though WinASPI should present them as SCSI targets :banghead:).

No, you can't. CDGEN is one direction only: source files (data, PCM audio, ...) to disk ("image").

Maybe stupid question, but I will try to ask.

If I have the PlayStation CD-ROM with one data track and without the copy protection... Just the prototype on CD-R...

1. I made the bin + cue and burned it onto CD-R...
2. I dropped all the files to HDD and re-created the PlayStation CD-ROM...

Will it correct in the second case?

I have the CD-R with prototype what was copied second times. From original CD-R onto random CD-R and from random CD-R onto my CD-R. I have third copy. It was copied as "disk-to-disk" and the bad blocks were skipped. But I still can't make an image because I still have the bad blocks at the end of the disk. But I can drop all the files to HDD without any errors. What's the problem? Damaged Lead-Out area? I think about recreating the disk with CD-ROM Generator and Sony CDW-900E recorder.
