:oh: Feck me the soldering looks fucking horrible even from a blurry picture and my gosh the ground wires look painfully thin, they should be much thicker as it does seem that these thing ground wires are also thin at the PSU end... There is a reason why the JAMMA connector has multiple pins for ground... It also looks like the 5 pin din socket is doing all the voltages through one pin per voltage... even old computers generally spread the voltages over several pins.

I never bother with heatshrink except on pins that are carrying voltages, takes far too long and if you've done a decent soldering job then there is no need.

I have to agree on the powerwires being too thin, I did think that myself.

As for the heatshrink, it doesn't hurt to be safe, especially if you are poking around in the guts of these things regularly. Good soldering or not, all it would take is a hair-thin piece of wire to find it's way in there to cause a short, it's not like the box is airtight.

Once we get it back and assess it we will certainly send it if it is still not correct. Is it ok to send you a private message with regards to this when I get it back?

    Thanks!!
Sure m8, not a problem. I just hope your technician fella doesn't turn it into a dog's breakfast

If anyone in the UK needs repairs, I can help too. Might even get to London sometime, it's not that far.

That said, aryssoR offered first so go with his offer first, by all means!

    Hello!

We literally just got the supergun back last week, and I've been so busy testing out games that I haven't had the chance to come on here.

Well luckily, after this third attempt they have managed to fix it and it works perfectly so far. They didn't do the fifth button for the Atomiswave and in the end we managed to find a decent priced supergun which will play the Atomiswave. So we no longer need any repairs for now.

Thanks for being paitent and offering to help though! I'm sure everyone, if not most of you here can build superguns or at least have some idea of how to build one. I'm so envious!!!

    Thanks all!
