sonofa... 3DO for that price...
Not doing too badly recently. Got 3 SNES games for free - bought a bundle of 4 of ebay including Chrono Trigger, but Chrono Trigger was broken (PCB snapped off, probably from an import dapter), so I sent it back and the shop gave me a full refund, including postage. I was allowed to keep the other 3 games :-)
Also got a free DC keyboard from a friend's brother who works in a videogame shop. If you're reading this, Gareth Cottril's brother, you rock. :prayer:
Especially as the last time I saw one in a Stafford game shop they wanted £20 for it :smt082
PCE CoreGrafXII for 150 mexican pesos (13 dollars back then, like 11 today). A friend told me "I have some... odd Japanese console my japanese neighbour left me. Either it will languish in my closet or you can take it, since you like that stuff" (not exact wording). I offered him 250 pesos, he said nah, give me 50, and I gave him 150.
I think he grew up to be a lawyer.
Also, I got (superfami) Macross Scrambled Valkyrie for 2000 yen, and PCE Final Blaster (boxed) and parodius for 850 yen each, from a friend in Kyoto.
may not be such a GREAT deal, but to get import games from Mexico, that's SERIOUSLY good.
Ah, also, Grandia for PSX sealed for 10 dollars.
Lots of good stuff:
Super Sidekicks 2 for NeoGeoCD(sealed) - R$15.00

3d Glasses + Adaptor + game (Master System)- R$15.00
R$1 - U$2.85 :smt082
Gaming since 90.
Got the best deal in my life yesterday.
My boyfriend was over at one of our friends to do some wireless networking, and he had a pc he sayd was broken that i could have for parts.
It turns out it only had a busted PSU, but also that pc was less then 6 weeks old.
So when i'm back home on friday i'll be setting up my new free pc :-D
specs of my new free pc:
Packerd bell iMedia 9835:
Amd athlon xp 3000+
512 mb ddr 400 ram
120 gb hard disk
8x dvd writer
16x dvd drive
Ati radeon 9200 128 mb video card
My boyfriend asked him like 10 times if he was sure that i could have it because it was still under warrenty but he sayd he'd already bought a new one and didn't want to bother bringing this one back to the retailer to have it shipped back to packerd bell costing him $150.
So basicly is just got a $1300 pc that needs $30 of repairs for god damn free, i'm so happy i could cry :smt022
Wow. :smt033Originally Posted by SilverBolt
I bought an IBM Thinkpad on eBay awhile ago for $20, but it was a 486. :-(
I got a Compaq (yeah, I know) desktop and peripherals yesterday for free. The specs are:
533 mhz AMD K6-2
192 mb Ram
15 Gig hard drive (I might have to replace this, too small)
40x CD-ROM drive (<-- the one I replaced the shitty CD Burner with)
Diamond Monster 3d II (<-- I put this one in for ye olde PC goldies :smt043 )
On-board audio :-(
I plan on making it into a Mechwarrior 2 hold-me-over-until-I-can-buy-Steel-Battalion-machine :smt045 .
And after you get steel battalion you could make it into an eDonkey server. Anyway, I'll buy that 15gig HDD from yah for $15 if thats alright.Originally Posted by Taemos
I'm still deciding what to do with it. I'm not sure whether to just replace the HD, stick a 30 gig in there with it, or just leave it be. I haven't even found a place to put the system yet. If I ever plan on selling the HD I'll let you know :-) .
Well, nothing earthshattering, but I picked up a wavebird and a GBA player for the 'cube for ten bucks each (So twenty total). Of course, it was a flea market, so I could very well have ended up writing how I throw twenty bucks away on two pieces of trash *chuckle*
Hello
As most of you know, I have recently acquired a Super A'Can. And, as I expected, some of the members are curious as to where I found it, and how much it cost. So, here is my story. :-)
A little while back someone posted a link to an auction where a Super A'Can was being sold. It was going cheap, and after a few days I noticing no one had bid on it, so I asked the board for help. Someone recommended a site that would do this kind of thing for you, bid on an item from an auction site from another country, so I thought I would try it. However, by the time I got to it, the auction ended. I was a little disappointed, but I didn't give up. I started doing research on the A'Can, when I found my way to a gaming forum. In the topic I wondered into, the guys were discussing the system itself, and one of them said he owned an A'Can system. So, I decided to send him a message asking about his system and if he was willing to sell it. I wasn't really expecting much, but when I got a reply to the message I sent him, he said he would sell it. After working everthing out, I payed him for the system, and he shipped it out. Oh, and for how much it cost, $22 USD. There you go, now you know the story.
just managed to get a Dreameye for £10 :-D
im happy with that :-)
now the next challege is a official samba de amigo boxset or a white mint saturn!
